He dropped to his knees, holding her legs open.

Instead of the arms of the bench, she fisted that comforter as she felt the heat of his mouth on her most sensitive flesh. This time he didn’t tease or torment. He simply put his mouth on her and feasted.

He fucked her with his tongue, and his thumb found her clit. He pressed and rotated, and she couldn’t hold back a second longer.

Pleasure flowed through her, and it felt like all the tension in the world released in that second.

“I need you. I need you so fucking much.” He was on his feet again, his mouth still glistening with her arousal.

He pulled something out of his pocket. Condom. Thank god he was thinking straight because she wouldn’t have stopped him. She was too far gone to think about protection. All that mattered was being with him.

He tore at the ties of his leathers, shoving them down. She watched as he rolled the condom on, big hand stroking that cock of his. She’d loved having it in her hands, in her mouth. She’d loved having that power over him, and now she loved being in his power.

He stroked himself one more time before he stepped between her legs, and she could feel that big dick poised at her pussy. “This means something to me, Vanessa.”

Her heart threatened to melt. She wasn’t capable of holding out on him a second longer. “It means something to me, too. I care about you.”

“I care about you, too. Don’t forget that.” He dragged her leg up, hooking it around his waist as he held her opposite hip and started to push inside.

Fuck, he was big, but the stretch felt good. She brought her other leg up, wrapping them both around his lean waist as he worked his way inside her.

He stared down, holding himself still against her. “We’re together for now. We don’t go backward.”

She didn’t want to. “I want to be with you for as long as I can.”

“For a long time. We’ll make it work.” Before she could reply, he dragged his cock out and then slammed back home.

Then she couldn’t think of anything to say because her whole being was focused on the feel of him, his heat and muscle and that cock pounding inside her. He was gorgeous as he worked over her, shifting his hips until he hit the spot inside her that had her panting.

She didn’t think she would be able to come again so soon, but Michael proved her wrong. His jaw had tightened, hips moving faster, and it sent her careening into pleasure again.

Michael’s body tightened above hers, and he pumped into her before falling on the bed beside her. His arms came out, resettling them on the bed, holding her close.

She liked this too. It was unexpected, this tenderness. She lay there, listening to the sound of him breathing in and out as her heartbeat ticked down.

“As far as scenes go, that one was spectacular,” he whispered, and she saw his lips curl into a grin. “I think we’ve proven ourselves more than compatible.”

She put a hand on his chest. “I would say so, Sir.”

He was quiet for a moment. “I’m glad you’re staying with me.”

“Me, too.” She cuddled close and knew time was running out. She would give herself a few more days and then she would have to tell him what she was really doing.

And she prayed he could forgive her.

“What do you mean someone was at her house last night? The same person from before? That girl?” Michael sought his memory as he stood in the men’s locker room at The Club. It was a refined space with none of the modern amenities of Sanctum. There was no massive TV dominating the wall and a bunch of ridiculous loungers where the guys would sit and watch sports. The lockers and showers were decadent, but Michael missed the easiness of Sanctum.

What he truly missed was being in that quiet room with Vanessa. He should have stayed there, should have ignored Deke’s texts. Normally he wouldn’t carry his cell on the dungeon floor, but he was working so he’d silenced it. Next time he would trash the fucker and spend all night with her.

Deke sat on the bench that separated the lockers. He was dressed in jeans and a T-shirt, his sunglasses poking out of the pocket of his shirt. “Ruby?”

Michael nodded. He would give Deke a long talking to if this was about the high school kid who liked to spend time away from her own house. He had a file on Ruby Lockwood, and she certainly wasn’t a threat to anyone except perhaps Vanessa’s refrigerator. Deke had put together the file himself and learned that Ruby had spent a lot of time with Vanessa’s sister and after she’d died, she’d transferred that affection to Vanessa. It seemed like a relationship the kid needed, and he liked the fact that Vanessa gave her some time.
