“What?”

“You don’t mind taking over for Zoey do you?” I stand up and walk over to the three of them (fuck no I don’t)

“Not at all,” I tell him, and Saint hands me Zoey’s pool cue

“Thanks, Brother” I watch as they both walk off towards the stairs and Ella looks up at me blushin’

“So, you wanna play?” I ask her, and she looks around the room, noticin’ where the only two here

“Um”

“Come on, one game loser buys dinner.” she bites her lip, and I want to grab her and kiss her “one game,” I ask smiling, and she rolls her eyes

“Fine”

I set the balls back up “You wanna break.”

“Um… I’m not really good at this”

“What’s to know, you aim and smash the balls apart.”

“Smash the balls apart, I think there’s a little bit more to it than that,” she says smilin’, and I love it

“Not on the first go, go on lean over and smash away,” she smiles and moves to the end of the pool table and leans over takin’ her shot and the balls explode around the table and I look at her

“Impressive, you got in both strips and solids which one do you want,” she looks confused, “You got in a strip and a solid, so you choose which one you want to play”

“Stripes,” she says

“Well, try and sink as many as you can.” We have a few games, and I even let her win one, but she’s that bad that it’s hard to lose

“So, what do you want for dinner?” I ask her

“No, I lost, so I pay what do you want?” she asks, and I smile at her, she blushes lookin’ down “so,” she says as she takes a deep breath lookin’ at me

“How about Chinese,” I say makin’ her smile and damn if my heart doesn’t skip a beat she’s so fuckin’ beautiful

“I like Chinese.” I walk over and grab one of the menus, and she sits on the sofa next to me

“So, what do you want?” I ask her as Cuff and Oki come over

“What’s goin’ on?” Cuff asks lookin’ at the menu. “Oh yes, you orderin’ out” I want to punch the fucker in the face, but I move closer to Ella lookin’ over her shoulder, Oki laughs lookin’ at me, and I frown at him

“What the fuck are you laughin’ at?” Cuff asks him, but he shakes his head

“Nothin’, I gotta get to work” Cookie’s still leanin’ on Ella, when I push his hand off of her he looks at me

“What?”

“I’m sure Ella doesn’t want you pawin’ all over her fuckhead.”

“Fuck off, I was lookin’ at the menu.”

“Fuckhead, you know that menu by heart, now get the fuck off of her” I warn him, and he moves over

“Fine, order me a large fried rice and sweet and sour pork… Large” I shake my head

“Fuckhead if you’re hungry, get your own,” I tell him

“You’re already ordering it!”

“So”

“Fuck, don’t be a dick, Ella you’ll order it for me, won’t you,” he asks her tryin’ to look all sweet and shit

“No, she fuckin’ won't,” I tell him

“It’s fine Blaze, where ordering anyway,” she tells me, and I narrow my eyes at Cuff, but the fucker smiles givin’ me the finger. Everything in me wants to get up and beat the ever-lovin' fuck out of this dickhead, but I keep my ass on the seat not wantin’ to scare Ella

“Give Ella the money,” I tell him

“Can I give it to you tomorrow Ella?” he says all sweet

“No, you fuckin’ can’t, so give her the money,” I tell him

“Damn man,” he says pullin’ out a twenty

“That’s not enough cockhead, give her another twenty.”

“Fuck off, it won’t cost that much”

“It will with delivery.”

“You’re an asshole,” he says makin’ me smile, and he walks away, and Ella turns to me

“It was fine Blaze,” she says, and I shake my head

“Trust me, baby, if there’s one lesson I’ve learned in life, it’s get the money up front,” I tell her and hand her my phone.

Chapter Eighteen

Ella

As we sit and eat dinner, I tell Blaze all about helping Mac today “So, you went to the cemetery and helped the groundskeeper tidy the cemetery?” I nod, but Blaze frowns at me

“What?” I ask him

“Baby, don’t leave the compound without tellin’ anyone where your goin’” I frown at him, sick and tired of people, ‘well men’ telling me what I can and cannot do. I stand up and look down at him

“Blaze, if I want to go to the god damn cemetery, then I’ll go to the god damn cemetery whenever the hell I want. No one and I mean no one will ever tell me what the hell I can do from now on. This is my life, and if I want to go and help Mac, then I’ll god damn do it do you hear me.” he stands up, and I look up at him, his face expressionless making me gulp and he leans down closer to me
