And he was under no illusion. He must look as displeased as he felt.

“Um, our older brother.” Jack looked nervous as he tried to maneuver Emily behind him.

Dismay crawled across her face. “You said that, other than the guy in the bedroom, we’d be all alone.”

From his old bedroom, down the hall, a woman screamed in sexual bliss. Apparently, Zach was getting action, too.

Christ. This place has turned into Grand Fucking Central Station. So much for having a conversation with Beck’s brother this evening…

“They lied.” Seth raised a brow Emily’s way. “If you have someplace else to be, now would be a good time to go.”

“Aww, man,” Jack complained. “Don’t make her leave. Bro…”

He zipped his pissed-off stare at his brother. “You’re lucky I don’t make you leave—back to New York. Explain what you two are doing with her. Now.”

“I’m out of here,” Emily said, jerking the sheet off the bed and exposing Jack as she gathered it around her and plucked her clothes off the floor.

Jack and Connor grumbled as they scowled, rose, and disposed of their condoms.

“Wait.” Jack grabbed Emily by the arm. “When can we see you again?”

“Never. It was fun, but, thanks to the buzzkill,”—she thumbed his way—“fun time is clearly over.”

“It doesn’t have to be,” Connor insisted.

She arched a brow at Seth, then pinned the twins with a scowl as she finished dressing. “Yeah, it does. Lose my number.”

As Emily stormed past Seth and slammed out the front door, an awkward silence descended. Connor tugged on his boxers and turned an angry glare his way. Jack looked equally pissed off.

Seth sent him a scowl designed to take control of the argument and put them in their place. “She’s gone now. Explain.”

Connor sent Jack an uneasy expression, then looked back at Seth. “It was just some harmless fun, you know? Experimentation. We…we were just curious and wanted to see what doing a girl together would feel like.”

“Yeah,” Jack nodded nervously. “We found this video of two guys and a girl and it looked hot—”

“Super hot,” Connor chimed in. “Like fire.”

“So we decided to try it.”

“Uh-huh. This was your first time fucking the same girl?” Seth purposely baited the hook.

“Yeah. Totally,” Connor lied.

“One hundred percent.” Jack nodded.

“Really?” Seth probed them while they nodded like matching bobbleheads. “Then what did you mean when you told Connor to slow down because he fucked too fast every time you let him take the ass?”

Jack blanched. “Shit. You heard that?”

“Oh, I heard everything, including Connor’s ‘once you’ve had twins, you won’t go back’ bullshit.”

His brothers exchanged mirrored expressions of oh, fuck.

“Okay, look,” Connor tried to reason with him. “We’ve taken a few together, but—”

“How many?” Seth asked.

“Why does it matter?” Jack swallowed tightly.

“Because it does. How many? Five, ten, fifty? A hundred?”

“I-I don’t know. W-we kind of…lost count.” Jack winced.

Lost count? Jesus… “How long have you two been sharing girls?”

They exchanged another glance, both gaping and wriggling like worms on a hook.

“Don’t look at each other so you can get your stories straight. I want the fucking truth.”

Jack sighed. “Since ninth grade.”

That sent Seth reeling. Why hadn’t he ever noticed the signs? Clearly, he’d been too wrapped up in his own life, his own problems. His own bullshit. Or maybe he simply hadn’t known what to look for then. Now he did. “How old were you?”

They glanced at one another for confirmation, then answered together. “Fourteen.”

Good god. They’d been two years from having their driver’s licenses and they’d been fucking girls together? “Have either of you ever had sex with a woman alone?”

“I have.” Jack nodded. “For sure.”

“Same,” Connor assured.

“Yeah? How often? And don’t bullshit me, guys. You’re both horrible liars.”

Jack flinched. “Once. With my girlfriend at the time.”

Seth turned to Connor. “And you?”

He shrugged. “Yeah, once. I-I wanted to know what it was like, so…”

“So he pretended to be me, but my girlfriend figured it out.”

“That was a horrible trick to play on her.” Seth sent a thunderous scowl Jack’s way. “And you just let your brother hop in the sack with your girlfriend? Idiot. I hope she broke up with your sorry ass once she figured out you two had deceived her.”

“Actually…” Jack tried to pass off his grimace as a smile. “She didn’t mind. She asked us to do her together and—”

“The rest is history,” Connor explained.

“And…we like it.” Jack dared to step closer, almost entreating him. “A lot.”

Of course they did, but now where the hell did he take this conversation?

“We’ll get back to that in a minute. This Emily I…met today, do you love her?”

“Love? Hell, no.” Connor blinked. “We just met her this afternoon at work. She had lunch with her mom, and her table was in my station. I flirted. She flirted back. Jack caught her before she left the place and got her number. We called when our shift ended and…”
