“I’m back amongst the living.” I sigh.
“Do you want me to come over and take care of you?” I miss her like crazy, but the thought of her getting sick kills me. There’s no way I’ll expose her to this shit.
“I’m dying to see you, but I can’t take the chance of you catching this.” I refuse to let her come here while this shit is going through the house.
She argues, but I hold my ground. During my downtime, I’ve had a ton of time on my hands, and I did some thinking. I make plans to take Hadley on a little trip once I recover. Discovering my girl is a virgin turned on my territorial gene. I need to make her mine and mine alone, and then I want to tie her to me for life.
Over the next two days, my condition improves. I’m almost back to normal when Rulie and Gloria fall victim to the illness. Tate and I step in and take care of our friends while they suffer. Two weeks later, we declare the compound flu-free. After all this time without my girl, I’m having major withdrawals.
Since Rulie and Gloria took care of us before catching the wretched illness, I arrange for them to have a two-week long vacation in Tahiti. My friends are very appreciative, but my brothers grumble over my generosity. They worry the clubhouse will fall apart without Gloria and Rulie. After telling the big toddlers to grow up, I add two days to the vacation.

HADLEY
After a long and busy week, I’m ready to have a couple of days off. There are two big weddings in Silver Spoon Falls this weekend, and we’ve been working overtime to get all the flowers ready. I’m also missing Cash like crazy. This week has been insane, and by the time we finish up in the evenings, all I want to do is drop into bed. When I talked to him last night, he promised me we would spend the entire weekend alone to make up for all the time we’ve been apart lately.
Petal Pushers is open until noon on Saturdays and closed on Sundays. Devin, our second part-time employee, only works on Saturday since she’s still in high school. Kyra and I alternate taking the four-hour weekend shift with Devin. Tomorrow is my day off, and I’m looking forward to spending time with Cash. He’s been hinting that he has something special planned this weekend, and I’m dying to see his surprise. Hopefully, it involves getting hot and heavy. I’ve been throwing out signs that I’m ready to take our relationship to the next level, but my handsome biker has been ignoring them. My girly parts are about to rebel if I don’t take matters into my own hands and jump him.
As we work on the last few arrangements, my twin keeps glancing over at me with a funny look in her eyes. She’s been teasing me about my sexual frustration the last few days, and I’m getting a little cranky over it.
“Okay.” I glare at her. “What is going on with you?” I can’t take it anymore. Twin sense tells me something is up with her.
“Nothing.” She shrugs and turns to finish the small bouquet.
After we close the shop, Kyra follows me up the stairs to our apartment. I gasp when I open the door and see a suitcase sitting in the front hall.
I look at my twin and point at the luggage. “What is that?”
“A suitcase.” She shrugs innocently.
“I can see it’s a suitcase. What is it doing there?” I growl.
“Waiting for you.” She winks.
“Ugh.” I throw up my hands. “Stop being a pain in the rear end and explain it to me.”
“I’ll take it from here.” Cash walks up behind us, surprising me. I don’t resist when he wraps his arms around me and pulls me close. “Hey, kitten.” He smiles down at me. “I missed you.” Kyra makes gagging noises and heads to her bedroom.
“I missed you, too.” I lean up and kiss his stubbly chin. “Now, tell me what’s up with the suitcase.”
Cash leans over and places his mouth next to my ear. “I have a surprise for you.” His warm breath brushes against the side of my neck, sending sparks of electricity shooting down my spine. “I’m getting you all to myself for the next four days.”
“Wait.” I lean back to stare at him as regret flows through me. “I can’t leave the store or Luv Bug for that long.”
“It’s all taken care of.” He winks and walks over to grab the suitcase. “Your sister packed for you, and she’s taking care of the little fur ball while we’re gone.” Cash turns and reaches for my hand. “I’ve arranged for Gloria to take your place at Petal Pushers so Kyra has help. All you have to worry about is me.” He wiggles his eyebrows and I laugh.
