The second we walked in the door, the exhaustion hit me. The excitement I’d felt at catching Claire before school quickly faded once I was in the quiet apartment. I headed for the scotch in the living room and took a drink without pouring a glass.

Hands ran up my back before they slid underneath my shirt. Warm lips pressed against my skin. Nails dragged over my abs. Her jacket and blouse dropped, and then her hard nipples pressed against my bare skin.

I took another drink before I set the bottle down. “We’ll do this when I wake up.” I turned back around, sliding through her fingertips, and looked down at the woman who wanted to sink her claws into me the second I walked through the door.

“No.” Her hands went to my jeans and got them undone.

I stood with my arms by my sides, listening to the echo of the word. Every time I heard it, it turned me on more. More and more.

She pushed my jeans to my knees then guided me back to the couch. When the backs of my knees hit the cushion, she gave me a gentle shove.

I fell back, my dick hard because I couldn’t get that word out of my head.

No.

Everything below her waist was shed before she straddled my waist. She scooted close, her tits in my face, and then she lowered herself onto my length.

I closed my eyes as I gave a moan.

Fuck…this pussy.

Her hands clamped onto my shoulders like they were rungs on a ladder and moved up and down, rolling her hips at the perfect moment to catch more of my dick. Over and over, she undulated, nice and slow, like she was in no hurry to get off.

She just wanted to enjoy me.

Each one of my hands grabbed a cheek and squeezed as I pushed my hips up to thrust inside her.

Her hand flattened against my chest to steady me. “Don’t move.” She said it in a sexy whisper, still riding me up and down. “You said you were tired, remember?” She flicked her hair to the side and kept her shoulders back, putting her perky tits on display right in front of me. “Allow me.”

After I picked up Claire from school, we dropped by the market to grab some groceries. There was a little place close to the apartment, so it was easy to stop and get whatever I needed for dinner later that night. Benton rarely ordered out, and he preferred his meals to be comprised of fresh and organic options. That meant I had to go to the store nearly every day—not that I minded.

Claire grabbed a box of cookies off the shelf. “Ooh…”

“Put it back.”

She gave me a smirk and threw it in the cart.

“Claire.”

“Pleeaaasssseee.”

“Your father said sweets are only for special occasions.”

“But is Dad here…?” Her hands went behind her back, and she squirmed in front of the shelves of packaged cookies and sweets.

I should put my foot down and say no, but it was hard to resist someone so sweet. “Fine…but this stays between us.”

“Cross my heart…” She made an X over her chest. “Hope to die…” Then she pointed her fingers close to her face. “Stick a finger in my eye!”

I cocked my head. “What?”

She laughed like it was all a big joke and continued down the aisle.

After we paid for the groceries, we took a seat on the bench outside. I opened the box of cookies, and we enjoyed them together as we watched people walk up and down the sidewalk.

“Constance?”

“Yes, honey?”

“Are you and Daddy going to get married?”

I’d just taken a bite of the cookie, but it halted in my mouth for a moment. It took me a second to chew again, to break it down and into my throat. “Why do you ask?”

Her legs hung off the bench, so she kicked them and they swung like swings. “Because I saw you kissing…”

“You did?”

She nodded, a smirk on her face with a splash of rouge in her cheeks.

She was a little girl to me, but I forgot that she was smart and observant. I should have assumed she would figure it out eventually. But now that the moment had arrived, I didn’t know how to handle it. “How does that make you feel?”

“What do you mean?”

“Would it be okay with you if we got married?”

She nodded enthusiastically.

“So, it’s okay that I like your father?”

She nodded again. “I like him too.”

“Well, is it okay that I kiss him?”

She laughed before she gave another nod.

“Good.”

“Do you looooooovvvvvve him?” She leaned into me and nudged her shoulder into my arm, like we were two immature girlfriends discussing their crushes.

I leaned the box toward her so she could grab another cookie. “This stay between us, huh? Just like the cookies?”

She took another bite and chewed loudly before she gave a nod.
