His shoulders supported my legs, and his hand reached up to grab one of my tits. He squeezed me hard as he continued to circle his tongue around my nub, to bring me to the same level of pleasure I’d just given him.

My back arched off the bed, my hips pressed farther into his face, and I came with a tremble, eyes spouting with tears. “Yes…” I could feel my slickness against his face, feel the way my muscles gave out in an avalanche of ecstasy.

When the explosion passed, his kisses turned gentle, bringing me back down from the high. “That’s some damn good pussy right there.” He raised himself over me, his shiny lips above my face. “Want another go?”

My hand grabbed his shoulder, and I pushed him down.

He gave a chuckle as he returned to his knees on the floor. “Alright, sweetheart.”

RYKER

I sat at the table with my father, going over the information sent by the emissaries. It was the same thing every day, King Rutherford expressing his desires on paper, and sometimes his servants delivered them in person to oversee our work.

“You will woo Elizabeth, Lady’s Quail’s only daughter.”

My mind had shifted elsewhere, thinking about Effie on her knees in front of me, her small mouth stuffed with my big cock. “Sorry?”

“Elizabeth.” He flashed me an annoyed look. “Woo her.”

“Why?”

“Because you need to marry her.”

“What?” I blurted. “Why do I need to marry anyone?”

“Because your sister can’t marry one of the king’s sons when she’s missing.”

“How does marrying Elizabeth get us to the throne?”

“Because she’s next in line after the king and his heirs.”

“But he has three sons. The only way they would all die is if…they were trapped in a burning building or something.”

“Hmm…not a bad idea.”

My eyes narrowed. “What?”

“Nothing. Just do as I say.”

I knew my father wanted the Capital, but I didn’t know he was willing to kill for it. “She’s not really my type—”

“That’s what whores are for.” He threw down the papers he was reading. “We will speak no more of this. Make your preparations for the Capital.”

“What about Ivory? We’re still searching for her.”

“We’ve searched everywhere, Ryker. We know where she is—in a place we can’t follow.” My father was heartless. It was as if he presumed Ivory to be dead or useless. “Time to move on.”

I could never move on.

Burke entered the room, his cape flowing behind him. “M’lord.” He gave a subtle bow before he took a seat. “One of the search parties has returned. Said they discovered a cave at the base of the Mammoth Mountains. There’s a ladder inside that descends so deep underground there’s no bottom.”

My eyes shifted back to my father, knowing exactly what that meant.

Father had no reaction.

“That’s where Mastodon took her,” I said. “The tunnel must lead to the bottom of the cliffs.” All I had to do was follow it, and I would find my sister somewhere in that frozen hell. “I can lead a group of men to find her.”

Father was quiet a moment longer before he turned to me. “We’ve already discussed this.”

“But now we have evidence—”

“A cave is not evidence. She’s been missing for months. She could be anywhere down there, and trust me, that place is just as big as the Kingdoms—and far more deadly. I will not risk the only child I have left for a slim-to-none chance.”

“I can’t just abandon her—”

“She will return. I assure you.”

Burke shifted his gaze back and forth between us. “Shall I close the passage?”

I answered before my father could. “No.”

Burke stared at my father, giving him the final say.

My father kept his stare on me. “No. If that’s the only way Ivory can return, we must leave it open.”

I found Effie in the market the next day, shopping for tonight’s dinner. Her breeches were snug on her ass and thighs, showing the deep curve in her lower back and the strength of her legs. Her long hair trailed behind her, stopping at the middle of her back.

I wasn’t the only one who noticed her. The other men in the vicinity eyed her like they wanted to do the same thing to her that I had two nights ago. Hadn’t stopped thinking about it. Probably would never stop thinking about it.

I came to her side and gave her ass a squeeze.

She spun the second she felt someone grab her, but she halted when she spotted my arrogant smile. “You almost got knocked out.”

“That would have been something.” I grabbed her ass again and came close, my lips just inches from hers.

Her eyes immediately softened at my proximity, forgetting all the people who surrounded us for a split second. But she regained her composure and stepped away, a sack of vegetables on her arm.

“What are you making tonight?”

“Stew.”

“It seems like you always have stew.”
