“They’re not permanent,” El-Mudad called out through the darkness. The conservatory at Langhurst Court was an enormous indoor garden with all manner of tropical plants under a Victorian iron and glass pavilion seemingly inspired by London’s Crystal Palace. Paths wound through raised beds of various heights, and just beyond a cluster of leaves, a silver glow told us where we would find El-Mudad.

We walked around a curve and stopped just outside of a large, square trellis draped in hundreds of tiny silver LED lights. El-Mudad, clad in lounge pants made of the same blue ombre silk as our gifts, waited for us beside a large, round mattress and mounds of indigo and silver silk pillows.

A Blue Morpho butterfly landed on my shoulder.

“Oh my god!” My soul practically left my body. As my eyes adjusted, I saw more of them and more of them, perched on the light strings, the trellis, and the plants around us. Their wings opened and closed slowly, shimmering in the cool, pale glow.

“El-Mudad, this...” It took a lot to strike Neil speechless.

“Is going to be hard to top?’ El-Mudad suggested with a grin.

I was in a thruple with two men who would always compete to prove who was the most romantic. Poor, poor me.

“Seriously,” I somehow managed, watching the butterfly flit away again. “This is like...fairyland.”

“We’re starting our lives together officially.” El-Mudad sauntered toward us. “You’ve already had your wedding night. I thought we should have one, as well.”

Tears rose in my eyes. I had no idea how these men kept making everything new and unique over and over again, but damn it, they could. I’d never imagined I could feel so cherished. I’d never believed I would have the love of not just one perfect partner, but two.

El-Mudad stopped short of us. “Sophie, you look amazing. You didn’t need to go to such trouble if—“

“You already knew she would,” Neil said.

“It’s okay. You know I like getting my makeup ruined.” Though, the tone for the night hardly seemed as though things were going to get rough.

Neil took our hands, one each, and lifted them to his lips. “I am so happy that we found each other.”

“It took you long enough,” I ribbed him through my happy tears. We’d spent six years apart after our first, mind-blowing encounter. Chance had thrown us together then. But it had been destiny that had put us in each other’s lives. El-Mudad had come to us in the same way; a chance encounter that had turned out to be fate.

“Time is irrelevant when things are meant to be.” El-Mudad’s dark gaze met each of ours in turn.

He reached for me, and I took a hesitant step after a split-second pause.

“What’s the matter?” He asked, frowning slightly.

“I’m afraid I’m going to accidentally squish a butterfly,” I admitted. “Did I just ruin all the romance?”

El-Mudad laughed. “We’ll be careful.” His voice deepened. “Slow.”

A shiver raced across my skin, tightening my nipples against the agonizingly soft silk.

Neil moved to stand behind me, while El-Mudad lifted my wrist to his mouth. He placed a kiss on my pulse point, and another on my palm, just below my thumb. Neil’s hands glided down my arms, then back up to hook beneath the straps of my gown.

“I just put this on,” I whispered. The conservatory seemed far too big, too exposed, and way, way too quiet.

“Then it can stay. For now.” He cupped my breasts over the thin dress, and my nipples hardened further, undeniable beneath his palms. Heat washed down my abdomen, flooding my groin with tingles.

El-Mudad leaned in to kiss my neck. His skin was so soft.

“You shaved,” I said with a quiet laugh.

His lips brushed my ear, and he whispered, “I didn’t want to scratch you when I’m eating your pussy.”

My thighs trembled.

Neil skimmed my sides and bunched my dress in his hands, gathering it up to expose me to the waist. El-Mudad dropped to his knees in front of me, and I remembered what they’d described doing to me not so long ago.

“Lean on me,” Neil said. “I can hold you.”

I reached back and did as he said, looping my arms around his neck while El-Mudad sank to his knees in front of me. He lifted one of my legs over his shoulder, using his arm to open me to him. “No panties.”

“Did you doubt me?” I asked breathlessly as he picked up my other leg. He slid his strong hands under my back to support me, and there I was, completely helpless between the two of them, just as they’d wanted me to be the night of my birthday. El-Mudad kissed me softly at the top of my cleft, then slowly curled his tongue down the seam between my labia.

“We’re not playing tonight,” Neil murmured in my ear. “So I suppose we can make you come however many times you’d like.”
