I clear my throat. “We can go through the day’s schedule.” I turn and head to my office, shutting the door behind me. I pause to adjust my pants. Fuck. Who gets a fucking hard-on first thing in the morning?

I sit and turn on my computer. I open my inbox and stare at the unread emails. Nothing registers as lust burns in my brain and all I can think about is cupping Olivia’s pretty face and kissing her senseless. It feels as if my body and brain have been taken over by other forces. I’ve never once been attracted to someone who was working for me. It’s not smart to get involved with a woman you work with. For one, what happens when I’ve satisfied my lust?

Olivia is only here for three months, a voice in my head points out. When Sarah comes back and Olivia leaves, you don’t have to see her again. Shit. I can’t believe that I’m trying to convince myself that it’s harmless to sleep with Olivia. I imagine her sitting on my lap while I suck on her tits. My dick throbs painfully, reminding me of just how long it’s been since I last had sex.

A soft knock comes on the door and I call out for Olivia to enter. She’s wearing a skirt that stops above her knee and I glance at her shapely legs. She sets both mugs of coffee on my desk and sits down. Her skirt rides higher, exposing her thighs. Heat whips through me. This was not a good idea.

She taps the iPad and then raises her amber eyes to me. “Shall I start?” How can a woman be so refreshingly beautiful with none of the arrogance that comes with knowing that she’s blessed with traffic-stopping good looks?

“Sure.”

I tear my mind out of the gutter and make myself pay attention to what she’s saying in that sexy voice. I make note of the calls I need to return.

“I’ve sent you a copy of your schedule,” she says when we’re done. “How am I doing so far?” She asks this in the confident voice of someone who knows that they’re doing a good job.

“Fantastic,” I tell her and then turn my attention back to my computer screen. I need her gone and at the same time, I want her to stay.

She gets the hint and pushes her chair back. “May I accompany you when you walk around the clinic?” she asks. “I’d love to get a better idea of how things work.”

I’m surprised and impressed by the request. “Sure. You can take some notes too. Sometimes, I don’t remember my mental notes.” I wink at her and she laughs. The sound of her laughter delights me.

“Thank you,” she says and leaves my office.

My gaze is glued to her round, perfect ass. I imagine cupping it and pulling her to me. Shit. I’ve got it bad, as Dylan would say. I’m sweating and it’s barely eight o’clock in the morning. I gulp down the rest of my coffee as the phone calls start coming in. It quickly becomes the highlight of my morning to hear Olivia’s voice when she announces who is on the other end of the line.

I leave my office at nine to have breakfast at the cafeteria. My brothers are already there and after grabbing coffee and a muffin, I join them.

“Why do you look happy so early in the morning?” Alec asks, glaring at me. My older brother is your stereotypical moody surgeon, especially in the morning. I have no idea how Ivy puts up with him.

“It’s that new PA of his,” Dylan quips. “She’s a hot young thing. If I wasn’t married and in love with my wife, I’d definitely want a piece of that action.”

Relief surges through me. So it’s not just me. “I should have picked a less attractive PA. I’ve had a raging hard-on all morning.” I’m too embarrassed to tell them the rest. That I imagined fucking Olivia over my desk, her skirt bunched around her waist and her panties down to her knees.

My brothers burst out laughing.

“I’m glad you think that it’s funny,” I grumble. “How am I going to survive three months? I can’t wait for Sarah to come back.”

Dylan leans forward. “Don’t be a fool. For once, let loose and have fun. When was the last time you threw your worries out the window? Olivia will be gone in three months. Have a wild affair.”

“You know her name?” I remind myself that I have nothing to worry about because Dylan is married. If we were to compete for a woman, he would easily win. The women I’ve dated and introduced to Dylan always said something about his charm. Dylan is never at a loss for words and he has a gift for making women comfortable and laughing. He’s a babe magnet.
