For starters, I called Rylee the next day on the viewscreen and told her about Vik’tor and me.
She clapped her hands excitedly, her eyes gleaming with excitement.
“I knew it! I just knew it! I knew the two of you were going to end up together. But how did you wind up Bonding?”
Blushing, I told her about my strange vision of the blonde woman on the golden throne. When she heard it, Rylee got even more excited.
“Oh, that’s Charlotte!” she exclaimed. “You know—the Goddess Empress who used to be a med student that I was telling you about? She must have been guiding you all along!”
“She must have been,” I agreed. “Because she knew exactly what the problem was and she told me how to form a Bond with Vik’tor. I’d love to thank her someday if I could.”
“That can be arranged—come with me and my guys when we go back to Femme One,” Rylee said eagerly. “I’m sure Charlotte would love to meet you in person. She’s so sweet—you’re going to love her!”
“I’m sure I will and I’d love to go with you,” I said. “But first we have to go back to Earth and introduce our guys to the family.”
“What—really?” she asked uncertainly. “You think they’ll be okay with the idea that you and I are married to aliens?”
I told her about the second vision I’d had and Rylee gave me a look of admiration.
“Damn, Cuz—these visions of yours really come in handy! I’m so glad—I wasn’t sure what I was going to do and I hated to keep lying to everyone.”
“We don’t have to—they’re going to love our guys,” I said firmly. “So we can go to Earth first and then back to Femme One. Though Vik’tor and I might have to make a quick stop at O’nagga Nine, just so he can get his business set up to run it remotely.”
“He’s really going to do that? Move away from his home planet for you?” Rylee asked.
I nodded.
“He says he doesn’t much like O’nagga Nine either. He was only staying because it’s the only planet where he could get blood with no questions asked or eyebrows raised. But of course now he has me as his wife and permanent Blood Bride, so he can go anywhere he wants.”
Rylee frowned.
“And…you don’t mind him, uh, biting you all the time?”
I leaned closer to the viewscreen.
“Didn’t I tell you? Every time he bites me, he gives me an orgasm! So no—I don’t mind. To be honest, I love it.”
Rylee’s eyes widened and she giggled.
“Okay then—sounds like you’ve got that all figured out.”
“Absolutely,” I assured her. “So let me know when you guys are done here on Tangella Alpha-Prime and we can plot a course to Earth and go back together.”
“I think we’re wrapping it up tonight—the Emperor and Empress are having a feast to celebrate their new Joining,” Rylee said. “I’m pretty sure you and Vik’tor are invited too. They’re honoring all the people who brought them together.”
“I’ll see you at the feast then,” I told her. “I’ve, uh, got some business to take care of before I can get ready.”
Rylee grinned at me.
“That ‘business’ wouldn’t happen to be getting into a certain half Braxian-half Naggian man’s pants again, would it?”
I blushed again and lifted my chin.
“None of your business.”
She laughed and waved a hand at me.
“Go on—enjoy yourself. I know how much you crave your mate when you’re first Joined. Just be sure you’re at the feast tonight.”
And she signed off, leaving me to go find Vik’tor…
The feast that night was fabulous and the Empress and Emperor looked radiantly happy. I was so glad for them because I truly understood their joy—I was happy and overjoyed myself just being with Vik’tor and I was proud to have been part of bringing the Tangellan people back together.
It was interesting to look around the crowded feast hall because I could see which of the males and females had already Joined with each other. That was because the Tangellan men who had joined with a woman immediately lost their “darkness”. That is, the black tint swirled into their skin disappeared, leaving clear jewel tones behind.
The women who had joined with them were also jewel toned instead of pastel. So it was easy to see who was still single and who was taken, which I thought was going to be a huge advantage for the entire society. I certainly wished we had something like that on Earth!
Speaking of Earth, we all went there after we finished on Tangella Alpha-Prime. We had to be careful sneaking down to the surface but luckily The Imperial Scout ship that Rylee and her guys were in had shielding tech so we were able to land in my parents’ back yard undetected.
Once there, we called everyone for a family reunion and introduced our new husbands. Just like in my dream, some people were shocked at first but when they got used to the idea, my family loved Vik’tor and Drace and Lucian. Of course, my Mama and Daddy were so happy I was safe and not missing anymore, I think they would have loved anyone who brought me home to them. They were a little heartbroken when I told them I had to leave again, but we promised to come and visit often, especially if there were any “grandbabies” on the way.
