The way people didn’t care if others saw them practically having sex right on the dance floor was heady and already added to the slight buzz from the alcohol going through her system. She was with it enough to know she’d pressed herself suggestively into Alex, that he’d touched her back. It had felt so incredible that she hadn’t wanted to stop. She’d wanted to go further.

And when she’d been sure he’d kiss her… god, she’d become so wet her panties had clung to her folds in a way that rubbed against her engorged clit.

In the back of her mind she knew it was a bad idea, but her body was screaming at her mind to shut the hell up. She ached to have his hands on her again, to have his fingers brushing along the small of her back where the skin was bare and she felt like she was burning alive. It might not have seemed overly intimate to most, but to her it had been like flames moving along her body.

The drug-like sensation that Alex caused inside of her when he touched her body came back full force and she found herself moving toward him. He had to know that she wanted him. It wasn’t as if the little moans she gave him hadn’t come out and seemed louder than the music itself.

It wasn’t like she was hiding the fact anymore.

And all it had taken was a couple drinks and some pretty incredible touches from him for me to say screw it all.

His body tensed as if he knew she was coming, and then he slowly turned around and their gazes locked. His expression was unreadable, but even more so since shadows from the darkened club slashed across his masculine features.

Mary took another step, and another, until they stood toe-to-toe. Then they were breathing in the same air, and she found herself swaying toward him, needing to be even closer.

“What are you doing?” His deep voice was low, and given his tone, she knew he wasn’t actually asking because he didn’t know what she was doing. It was almost like a challenge laced within his words.

She wanted this, and when she lowered her gaze down his wide chest and stopped at the crotch of his jeans, a thick lump formed in her throat at the sight she was greeted with.

One hell of a massive bulge, a testament to how he felt toward her… what he wanted with her.

Mary didn’t even contemplate why he was holding himself back, why he’d walked away from her when it had been abundantly clear she’d been into it all.

She said nothing as she lifted her hand and placed it on his hard stomach, right above the button of his jeans. His muscle flexed subtly under her touch and she felt heat move through her even harder, felt more wetness spill from the intimate junction between her thighs.

When she started to slowly move her palm up his abdominal muscles that bunched in response, a soft gasp of appreciation left her. And then she lifted her gaze and stared into his hooded eyes that told her how far gone he was in this moment. Just like she was.

“I know you’re experienced with women wanting you, Alex.” She didn’t phrase it as a question, but said the words in response to when he’d asked her what she was doing.

His jaw tightened and a muscle under his cheek ticked hard, and she knew he didn’t like her pointing it out. But it was the truth.

“Yeah…”

The way he said that one word had this little, dark thrill moving through her, and she took a step back, but he followed her move. Suddenly her pleasurable buzz was gone, and in its place was her familiar friend of uncertainty. Had she totally read him wrong? Maybe his hard-on wasn’t because he wanted her desperately—like she wanted him—but because she was a female and that’s all it took?

Mary found herself looking at the dancefloor, her heart racing, and feeling embarrassed that she’d read the entire situation wrong.

“Look at me.”

At the deeply spoken demand she lifted her gaze and stared into his eyes. He was so much closer now, so big, so muscular, that he could crush anyone that stood in his way. She should be afraid of this very clear feral side of him and the wild look in his eyes, but for some inexplicable reason…she wasn’t.

In a move quicker than she anticipated, Alex had a hold of her hand and was pulling her through the thick crowd. Before she could ask him what he was doing, they were moving down a long, semi-secluded hallway. It was darker, and only a few stragglers moved past them until they were alone.

Mary was suddenly pressed against the wall with Alex’s big body blocking everything behind him. She was breathing heavily, unable to catch her breath, and not knowing if she should surrender to the carnal look reflected on Alex’s face, or stop this before things went too far.
