They would be able to live in peace and harmony if only she did as she was told.
Picking up Daphne, he made his way toward the porch. He stood, looking into the kitchen, watching her as she worked. The clothes he’d picked out really highlighted her curves and he loved her ass.
He was going to fuck that ass one day soon. When he did, he was going to make her scream his name and he’d keep the memory forever.
Whatever happened between him and Winter wouldn’t stick. No, they were going to have a fleeting, intense fuck session, and then he was going to get rid of her. His mind was made up and there was no way he was going to change it.

Winter didn’t know what happened but the days following his kindness, Rocko was everywhere. He was there for breakfast, came home for lunch, and was even there for dinner, which was a bit of a shock to her, but she was slowly getting used to his presence. After dinner, he’d help her bathe Daphne, read her a story, and then they’d sit watching television together.
By the seventh night, she really didn’t know what to do or think. He was right there with her. She couldn’t stop herself from looking at him and each time she did, he seemed to be staring back at her.
Her body felt incredibly hot and tight. Licking her lips, she waited for the feelings to subside, but nothing happened. As she tucked her hair behind her ear, her nipples felt large and her body tingled in ways she wasn’t used to.
“I saw some ice cream in the fridge. I’m going to go and grab some. Would you like some?” Without waiting for a response, she got to her feet and searched for the sanctuary that was the kitchen. After opening up the freezer, she pulled out the container and grabbed a spoon. There was a dairy-free one as well as one for Rocko. Her hand shook as she grabbed another spoon. Without looking back at him, she sensed him moving into the kitchen.
She held the tub in her hands, using it as some kind of security blanket as she watched the floor. His feet came into view and she didn’t look up at him.
“What’s wrong, Winter?”
She hated confrontation more than anything, but she wasn’t a fool. Something was going on with him, and she wasn’t going to sit around being uncomfortable.
It’s his house.
He wants me to take care of his daughter.
So, it’s his house.
He hadn’t forced her out and she wasn’t going to be a pushover anymore. When she’d been thrown into the cell before they were taken, she hadn’t fought enough. She’d accepted the men’s and women’s anger because she refused to be one of them. Not anymore. She wasn’t going to just openly accept someone was pissed off with her because she wouldn’t do anything they wanted.
“What is all this?” she asked.
“What?” He took his ice cream out of the freezer, and what looked like a tub of chocolate sauce. He heated the bottle in the microwave, and he drizzled it right into the tub.
“This? What you’re doing. You’re always home. You’re watching me all the time. Why?”
He smiled. “I have a kid. Don’t you think I should be home to see my kid?”
“It’s more than that and you know it.”
“I know it’s more than me wanting to be near my kid, with a family.”
The way he put it, she felt she was being unreasonable, but there was no way this was all it was. Something was off.
“Why do you keep staring at me?” she asked.
“You’re not used to men staring at you?”
“No.”
He raised a brow. “I find that hard to believe.”
“It doesn’t really matter if you believe it, does it? I’m telling you it never happens. Why are you looking at me?”
He didn’t answer right away, choosing to lick his spoon clean.
She glanced all around the kitchen, feeling her anger starting to build. It was crazy for her to be so upset, but she really needed to know what was going on. This was her home until he decided he no longer needed her.
“Is it so shocking to think I find you sexy and that I like looking at you?”
“I’m not sexy.”
He put his spoon down and stepped up toward her. The instant he invaded her space, all rational thought left her mind. She tilted her head back as Rocko was very much taller than her and in order to stare into his eyes, she had to look up. He placed his hands on the counter, either side of her, locking her into place. “I think you’re sexy, Winter. In fact, I really like it when you come down in pajamas that show me your body. I find it really hard to think, especially with those nice tits, and the nipples pressing against the front of your shirt. It’s enough to drive a person mad. I know it’s driving me mad.”
