“We can’t,” they say at the same time.

“I’m not asking you to go near him. Just … you know, pull some shit on his guards. Make a scene, cook up a scheme, whatever you want. We only need four minutes to get off the property.”

“And when it gets back to Rayo we helped?” Kenex drops into the seat with a huff, already resigned to helping me, even if he hasn’t said it out loud yet.

“You’re not going to do something obvious. You’re both smarter than that.”

Their brows jump at my sort-of compliment and Bronx chuckles.

“Be real, Rocco.” She looks my way. “The Grecos pop off and suddenly you’re nowhere to be seen? They will put two and two together.”

I want to scream I don’t care. I’m getting out of this magnificent fucking prison if I have to drug every fucking guard in this place.

Wait, that’s a fantastic idea.

Well, okay, it’s a bad idea, but a great backup.

I sit back, crossing my arms and instead say something more sane. “Why do you think you are all coming with me? I won’t be alone, so what can anyone really say?”

Everyone pins me with that “really?” kind of stare, but I hold strong.

Damiano is the first to speak, his expression closed off. “This is reckless, Rocklin. Someone could follow us. Enzo could be waiting for one of you to step outside the walls to make his move.”

I want to remind him we’re on Team Enzo Isn’t Fucking Here but don’t.

“We will be careful and quick.”

“And armed.” Delta reaches over, squeezing Alto’s thigh, likely sensing his displeasure.

Damiano holds my gaze a moment. “What happens if he’s not impressed with our arrival?”

My stomach flips, but I ignore it, lifting a single shoulder and looking back to Kenex and Kylo. “We’re offering a free pass for trouble. Are you going to take it or not?”

The boys look to one another. Slowly and perfectly in sync, their smirks spread, telling me all I need to know.

They’re in.

One way or another, I’m getting out of here tonight.

Let’s hope no one gets their asses kicked in the process.

Chapter 26

Rocklin

Someone does get their ass kicked, but dear Delilah had it coming.

I warned her of the boys’ little games the day she took my deal to break their one rule and fuck one on the other’s assigned day, but, of course, the little deviants were far too enticing for her to remember my warning.

She knew exactly what was in the contract she signed that made her theirs for that week, and the big, bold line that gets them all to agree—as if the mere fact that they get to play with both isn’t enough—reads “during the dates listed approve, Kenex and Kylo are the sole property of the above-mentioned name.”

The boys have themselves a new girl this week, and she’s a feisty one. The daughter of an arms trafficker, raised in a house with four brothers. She’s tough as shit and right now?

She’s pissed.

Delilah fell for the shirtless thirst trap of the boys skinny-dipping in the property pond. “All alone,” the caption read.

“They knew someone would show, just as they knew this week’s flavor would.” Alto shakes his head.

Bronx smirks at the security footage, all of us huddled in the back of Dom’s town car, watching the grounds team rush over as a wave of students dashes that way to catch a glimpse of the livestreaming fun.

“Sexual sadists, I swear.” She shakes her head with a grin as Damiano hauls ass out the gate and zooms down the long, winding road. “That’s ending in a giant orgy in the dorm pool.”

“Why do you think they did it?” Delta grins, leaning into Ander while crossing her legs over Alto’s lap. “People are shredding clothes as they run.”

“And that is where the orgy shall be born.”

Everyone chuckles, but I’m hardly hearing them anymore.

We’re on the road with no lights behind us, and our phones have yet to ring. Granted, it’s been a total of five minutes, but that’s better than I’ve managed on my own.

What should be a two-hour drive is just a little over one with Dom behind the wheel, eager to get us there and back as fast as possible, yet to me, it feels like five, maybe even ten, long sets of sixty minutes.

At one point, I even closed my eyes to count them but grew distracted each time, and then suddenly, we were in Brayshaw.

As we pull up to the old warehouses Kenex had led us to last time though, the place is a graveyard, nothing but empty, busted bottles littering the ground and dried bloody dirt mid-ring.

I step up to it, gripping the rope as a wave of emotion rolls over me, causing me to shake.

Where the fuck is he?

I pull my phone out, but Delta plucks it from my fingertips, and I press my middle fingers to the corners of my eyes.
