He doesn't stop. He keeps going, demanding another one.

"That's it, baby," he breathes against my skin. "That's the real pleasure right there. That's what you were denying yourself. That shit isn't happening in this bed. You don't fight them. You take every fucking one of them like a good girl."

Oh, my god.

I claw his shoulders and his arms, sobbing my agreement. But he isn't finished with me yet. He drives into me again and again, forcing me right back to the edge.

"Emmett, please!" I gasp, eyes wide, trembling. "I can't."

"Yeah, you can," he whispers, brushing his nose against mine. "You raised your brother. You walked through fire. You can take one more orgasm." His lips land against mine in a sweet kiss. "You're a goddess, sweet Nina."

I sob against his lips, shattering again.

He groans, pounding into me without rhythm. His cock jerks, his head falling back. My name rumbles from his lips in a loud crack of sound, and then he falls still. I moan loudly as I feel him coming, his seed splashing inside of me in hot spurts.

It's only then that I realize he isn't wearing a condom. And it's only then that I realize I wouldn't have stopped him even had I thought about it beforehand.

Lord have mercy. I'm in deep with this man.

We come down tangled in each other's arms before he peels himself halfway off me, his eyes locked on my face. He checks me over meticulously, his expression soft.

"Are you okay, Red?"

"Yes," I whisper, and then I bite my lip. "You weren't wearing a condom."

His cock twitches inside of me like he likes this thought.

My eyes widen in realization. "You…did it on purpose?"

"Honestly? It didn't even cross my mind to wear a condom with you. But had I thought about it, I would have done exactly the same thing." He shrugs, his eyes locked on my face. "I told you what my endgame is with you. I want it all."

"You don't even know me," I whisper.

"Yeah, I do." He pulls me back into his arms, splaying me across his chest. And how he manages to do that without pulling out of me, I don't know, but somehow, he manages it. "I know that you're the kind of woman who gave up years of her life to raise her brother. I know that you haven't had it easy, but you've worked your ass off and never quit. I know that you're full of fire and sweetness, and the world hasn't beat either out of you no matter what you've been through. And I know that you've been a little ball of anxiety, trying to carry everything on your own because you didn't want to involve me in your problems. It wasn't just because you were trying to protect your brother, either. You were trying to protect me."

"It didn't seem fair to you," I admit in a whisper. "If I told you the truth, you would have felt like you had to help. I didn't want you to feel like you had to do something wrong to protect him because he did something wrong. That wasn't fair to you."

"He didn't start those fires, baby."

"I know." Guilt churns through me. "I feel like a horrible sister for doubting him, Emmett."

"You had your reasons, Red. That doesn't make you a horrible sister. Anyone in your position would have had the same doubts."

"You went to see Dillon today, didn't you?"

"Yeah, baby." He runs his fingers through my hair.

"What did he say?"

"He's got everyone looking for your brother."

I close my eyes, relief rushing through me. Part of me is worried—really worried—that Nate isn't really camping, and that note was left to keep me from realizing that Alex already has him. I don't think I'll stop worrying about that until Nate is in front of me again, safe and sound.

"They set that fire to kill me," I whisper quietly. I'm not sure if Emmett has worked that out for himself yet or not, but I figure he probably has and just didn't want to tell me. But I worked it out hours ago.

I wasn't supposed to survive last night. And I don't know what that means now. I just know it means Nate isn't safe out there right now. And it means I'm not really safe, either.

Emmett's hands still in my hair, a growl rumbling in his throat. "They aren't going to kill you, Nina. Hell will freeze over before I allow that to happen."

"I'm scared," I admit.

"I know, baby. But I need you to trust that I'm not going to let anything happen to you or Nate. We're going to find them. They're going to prison for attempted murder, arson, extortion, and whatever else Dillon throws at them." He tips my head back, forcing me to meet his gaze. "And while we're working on finding them, you and I are going to get very intimately acquainted. You're going to fall in love with me. And when you do, I'm claiming every single piece of you."
