“Tell me to stop.”

“No.”

“Tell me to stop,” I demanded, cupping her breast and stroking the hard nipple.

“Fuck you,” she replied.

“Tell me to stop, or I will fuck you. Right here. Right now.”

She grabbed my face between her hands. “Don’t make promises you’re not going to keep, Luke.”

All bets were off.

In seconds, her clothing was gone, disappearing over my shoulder. She tore my muscle shirt, running her hands all over my chest. My fingers met hers as she grappled for my belt and zipper, the sound of the metal opening loud to my ears. I lifted my ass, and she dragged my jeans down my legs, pushing me back into the hay. She stared at me, her hair a mess, lips wet, a mark already showing on her neck from my teeth. I cupped her breasts, teasing her hard nipples. She moaned and stroked me.

“You gonna show me what you got, Cowboy? Ride me hard?” she challenged.

“You’re gonna ride me, Lady. I’ll show you what a stallion between your legs feels like.”

Then I was inside her. The heat, wetness, and tightness of her surrounded me. I cursed at the sensations, gripping her hips. She whimpered, tilting back her head, her honey-colored hair brushing my legs as she held my thighs and began to move. Long, slow rolls of her hips, small gasps escaping her lips as she moved. I met her movements, the feeling of her wrapped around my cock incredible. She bent forward, bracing her hands on my chest, driving me deeper inside.

“Fuck,” I groaned. “You feel so good, Lady.”

She lifted her head, our eyes locking. “Luke,” she whispered. “Please.”

I sat up, gripping the back of her neck and covering her mouth with mine. I knew she was still hurting, but I couldn’t stop. I didn’t want to stop, and even more important, she didn’t want me to stop. She gave as good as she got. I sped up my movements, the sounds of our bodies colliding over and over, our skin sliding together, our grunts and groans of pleasure filling my ears. She wrapped her arms around me, her breasts rubbing my chest, her fingers digging into my shoulders. The scent of her surrounded me. Light, feminine, warm.

Just like her.

My orgasm hit me, and she shivered, tightening around me. Everything magnified. Became electric and wild. The feel of her. The taste. The ecstasy rippling down my spine. Her muffled screams in my mouth.

And then, there was only peace. Her in my arms, sated and warm. Close.

I released her mouth, pressing a kiss to her head. She dropped her face into my neck, and I lay back, still holding her, into the hay. I traced gentle patterns on her back, her skin soft and damp under my fingers.

She squirmed a little, and I felt the wet between us. I bolted upright, gripping her arms.

“What?”

“Fuck, Sammy. We didn’t use a condom. I was so caught up—”

She interrupted me. “I’m on the pill, and I’m safe.”

I pulled a hand through my hair. “I haven’t been with anyone for a long time, and I’m safe, but fuck. We can’t… Jesus, we shouldn’t…” I shook my head. “Not again. This isn’t happening again.”

She narrowed her eyes at me. “Really?”

“You’re here to do a job. Nothing else.” I lifted her off me, ignoring the flash of displeasure I felt at being separated from her physically. I scrambled to my feet, yanking up my jeans. “We should never… Fuck, Rachel is going to kill me.”

She stood and calmly reached for her clothing, pulling her shirt over her head and stepping into her jeans. She picked up her shoes and looked at me.

“I don’t plan on telling Rachel a thing. We’re two grown-ups who gave in to the chemistry we felt. Scratched an itch. Nothing more. I get it.”

I searched for my shirt, finding it under a pile of hay. At least it hadn’t been torn much. I could wear it until I got to the house. I stopped as her words hit me.

Scratched an itch?

“Is that a fact?” I replied. “Chemistry—is that what you’d call it?”

She shrugged. “Lust, if that helps you sleep at night. Whatever. If you expected me to fall at your feet and beg you for another round, Cowboy, you’re mistaken. We both got what we wanted.”

It was my turn to narrow my eyes at her. “Really?” I asked as I fastened my belt, noting how her gaze was focused on my hands. I stepped toward her. “The lust is gone now? One round and we’re done?”

She smiled—another new one in her arsenal of smiles. It was wide, devilish, and teasing.

“Your decision. Nothing else, you said.”

She walked over to the barn door, sliding it open just enough to slip through. She poked her head around the corner.

“Thanks, Cowboy. I did enjoy taming your stallion.”
