His mouth and hands were his instruments, his way to show Grady how much he meant to him. Deacon used them, starting on his ankles, working his way up the same way he’d traveled down when Grady was on his back.

When he got to Grady’s ass, he kneaded each cheek, then kissed them, before spreading him wide with his hands. This was something else he’d never done, but he wanted to share it with Grady.

“You don’t have to,” Grady said. “I don’t need that, don’t need anything you don’t want to do. Having you is all that matters.”

Deacon gave himself a few long, slow strokes, his balls ready to let loose as he dripped onto the mattress. “I said I want to taste and know every part of you.”

He damn near whimpered when he let go of his own erection before leaning down. He let his tongue sneak out, lashed it back and forth over Grady’s rim. It tightened beneath him, then loosened again, Grady fucking into the bed as Deacon tasted him.

“Fuck…that feels so good. Deke… Jesus, you’re gonna make me come.”

He smiled into Grady’s ass. “We can’t have that,” he said, then licked him again, his tongue sliding up and down Grady’s crease, before moving on to his lower back…up his spine, mouth against skin, traveling up and down each knot before Deacon lay on top of him, kissing his neck, hands in his hair, his aching cock thrusting between Grady’s ass cheeks. “Christ, I could come like this too.”

Grady turned his head, and Deacon took his mouth, hard and claiming. They moved together until Deacon was beneath him, Grady returning every kiss, every touch, every lick and bite down his body—his navel, his hips, his cock, his balls, his taint—down his thighs, his feet, then flipped him and did the same there.

Deacon’s breath was coming out in long, deep puffs, his body trembling, the pleasure skyrocketing, higher and higher, until he thought he would drift away.

When Grady spread his ass, hot breath there, and asked, “Can I?” he answered, “Yes, fuck yes,” then cried out when Grady tongued his hole.

He pumped his hips, cock rubbing against the bed, cursed when Grady’s mouth left his ass, but then melted when he licked his way up Deacon’s spine.

Then somehow he was on his back, looking up at the man who’d changed his world, this man he knew in ways he’d never known anyone else. This man he knew the taste of, the smell of, the feel of, in every spot on his body.

Their mouths were pulled together, and it didn’t matter where their tongues had been. They sought each other out, tangled, moaned, and rutted together, until Deacon’s balls drew up tight, his vision blurry, legs trembling as he shot his load between them in hot pulse after hot pulse. Grady followed, his come joining Deacon’s.

Grady rolled off him but kept his arm around Deacon, fitting himself close, their legs entwined. “That was… I’ve never felt so close to someone in my whole life,” he admitted softly.

“Me neither,” Deacon replied. And it was true…and it was okay. “I meant what I said earlier. I love you.” He was too old to play games, to deny what this was.

“I love you too, so fucking much.”

They kissed again, kissed and touched until the come had long dried on them and Deacon’s jaw was sore.

He let go of Grady just long enough to reach over and turn out the light, and then they went to sleep, not letting go the whole night.

Chapter 33

Grady

Grady’s stomach was in knots.

He and Deacon had gotten up early. He couldn’t eat anything, even though Deke tried to get him to. He just wanted to see his dad and make sure everything was okay. His dad had been the most adamant one when Grady came out, the rest of the family deferring to him, as they often did. Grady was so scared this would all turn out to be a cruel tease, that he would get his hopes up and then have it all ripped away from him.

Deacon seemed to understand. He understood everything. Grady worried that was a damn dream too, that it was too good to be true and suddenly he’d be alone again.

Deke drove while Grady leaned his head against the window, watching the scenery speed by. “There were certain things I loved about growing up here. I used to run around all day, and my parents never had to worry that anything would happen to me. I knew everyone, and they knew us. That was hard when I was a teen and started acting up to try and hide what I was going through, but outside of that, I feel really lucky to have lived here.” Maybe that had been another draw for him toward Briar County. It had reminded him of home.
