“Aiden?” she breathed, sitting up and swinging her legs to hang off the side of the table. “How? What are you doing here?”

I raised an eyebrow and prowled toward her. “Where else should I be, kitten? The baby you’re carrying is mine.” It wasn’t a question because if she said otherwise, I would lose my fucking mind, and that motherfucker would die tonight.

“Yes, but, um…how did you find me?”

“Were you hiding from me, Bianca?” I moved to stand between her legs and took hold of her chin so she couldn’t look anywhere but at me. “I sure as fuck hope you didn’t intend to keep your pregnancy a secret.”

“Of course not!” she snapped, looking genuinely offended.

Her quick denial gave me a small measure of relief. “Was there something I did that scared you the night we were together? That caused you to sneak out on me in the morning?” The thought had occurred to me before, but I hadn’t been able to come up with anything that had seemed to make her uncomfortable or put tension between us.

“Oh, no. Nothing like that. It was...it was the best night of my life.” She sighed dreamily, then her eyes cleared, and she shifted uncomfortably. “I just…I wanted to avoid the awkward morning after. I wasn’t sure what that night meant to you, and after sleeping together in a house that didn’t belong to either of us, I—”

She stopped when she spotted the sardonic raise of my brow.

“You own the house we were staying in.” It wasn’t a question, but I nodded anyway.

“I would have told you, but I was a little distracted.” Pink bloomed on her cheeks, and since I’d already been sporting a semi from being in the same room as her—not to mention seeing that sexy bump—my cock went fully erect. “I don’t know how I could have made things any clearer, kitten. I told you multiple times that you were mine, and I fucked you bare. I’ve never done that before. Ever.”

She blushed harder and tried to move her head, but I wasn’t letting her get away from this conversation, even if it was just with her eyes. “I thought maybe it was just the heat of the moment. Guys say all kinds of things when they want to have sex.”

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before opening them and growling. “Since I popped your cherry, I’m going to assume that you know this from hearsay and not from experience.”

Her nose scrunched, and she glared at me. “Do you think I would have been embarrassed by a morning-after conversation if my intention was to just walk out and sleep with the next guy who spouted pretty words at me?”

Rage flooded my system, and my vision filled with a red haze. “Tell me who he was,” I demanded.

Bianca rolled her eyes. “Calm down, Aiden. It was a figure of speech.”

Talking about her and another man was making my blood boil, so I got back on track. “Once you knew you were carrying my baby, why didn’t you find me? Did you think I wouldn’t want to help raise my child?”

Bianca threw her hands in the air and huffed, “I don’t even know your last name. How was I supposed to find you? Let alone have any clue that you were looking for me.”

I narrowed my eyes. “I’m positive that you have a resource that would have found me faster than you ran from my bed that morning. He’s how I found you.”

Bianca blushed and tried to turn her head, but I wouldn’t allow it. “I was working up the courage. If I went to Uncle Jonah, then he would tell my dad, and I didn’t want my dad—hold on, back up for a second. Did you say Jonah is the one who found me for you?”

“Your dad and uncles are friends of mine. I’ve worked with them on many occasions. I had someone looking for you in the Hamptons, but once it became clear that you didn’t live there, I reached out to Jonah.”

Bianca’s eyes went wide and round, her mouth forming an O. “You asked my uncle to find me?”

“Yes,” I replied, confused at why she looked so horrified.

“Do you know what you’ve done? Holy crap, Aiden. My dad is going to kill you!”

I chuckled and kissed her forehead before I released her chin. “Relax, kitten. This will all be taken care of long before he gets involved.”

She frowned and shook her head. “I don’t understand—”

Before she could finish her thought, the door opened, and an older woman with long, graying hair and red glasses perched on her nose walked in. She was wearing a white lab coat that had the name Dr. Stanley stitched on the left side.

I moved to stand on the other side of Bianca so I was out of the way but still next to my girl.
