With the vegetables charring, and it smelled amazing, he chopped up some of his leftover tofu, which he’d surprised her with. Considering he wanted meatballs on his pasta, she hadn’t been expecting the tofu.

She hadn’t tried tofu herself, and she wasn’t going to pass judgment.

He added a packet of pre-cooked noodles, and then poured over the sauce he’d started to make in the beginning.

It smelled really good.

She couldn’t believe that in less than twenty minutes of cooking, he was dishing up.

Teal also couldn’t look away from his arms. They were strained as he held the wok, which was full of all the food. They were thick, and one vein seemed to pulse down the length of his arm.

Licking her lips, she wondered what it would be like to touch them. To feel them. Maybe even to … lick them.

Get out of your fucking head.

She was never the kind of girl to fantasize about anyone. She had no idea why this was happening. Her tits felt heavy, her nipples were hard, and between her thighs, she was slick with arousal.

Jaxson finished dividing his meal between two bowls. All Teal wanted to do was make her escape, but instead, she kept her ass firmly in the chair, watching him.

Were her cheeks flushed? Did he know she was aroused? Could he tell she was attracted to him?

“Are you ready to eat?”

Was it bad that all she could think about was eating him, and not as a damn meal?

“Sure!” Her voice was slightly high-pitched, and she quickly cleared her throat and coughed. “Sure.” She sounded more like herself.

“Come on. Grab a seat.”

Teal walked into his dining room and lowered herself into his chair, hoping he couldn’t see or detect what she was thinking or feeling. She didn’t know if she was going to be able to handle it if he did.

Jaxson put the bowl on the table in front of her, complete with chopsticks and forks. He leaned in close and put his lips toward her ear. “Enjoy.”

Was he doing this on purpose?

Feeling his breath across her neck was highly arousing. She wanted to turn to look at him but almost feared what that would mean. Would he be too close?

Teal knew she shouldn’t look, but she couldn’t help but look at him. He was close, and she couldn’t help but look at his lips. They were so inviting. So close.

She had never been kissed. Never felt another person’s mouth against her own.

“What do you think?” Jaxson asked as he took a seat.

Damn it. She’d been too busy admiring him, and he’d already walked away.

She had to get her head in the game.

After picking up the chopsticks, she scooped up some of her food and placed it in her mouth. Taking a bite, she moaned. There was so much flavor in the dish. It was better than she thought it would be. With her mouth full of food, she lifted her thumb to let him know how good it was.

****

Jaxson was spending way too much time with her.

They had alternated between feeding each other. After he made her the stir fry on Saturday, Teal had made him soup on Sunday. Then it was back to him on Monday, and that was how they served one another.

By Friday, while he was finishing his last lesson, he saw the heavens open up, and it start to pour it down with rain, which was just fucking typical because he hadn’t driven to work. Instead, he’d decided to enjoy the last of the summer sun and walked.

This wasn’t fun. He hated the fucking rain. The worst weather was the fog though. Rain was manageable, but he stayed behind, dealing with the detention because it was his turn. By the time he left school, the rain had subsided.

He was walking home, sensing that it was going to open up again. The dark clouds were gaining, and he sped up, trying to make it home. His bag on his back, briefcase in hand.

Jaxson looked up to see Teal just up ahead. She was walking fast.

The clouds rumbled.

“Fuck.”

He took off, running. As he got to Teal, it started raining.

Teal looked at him, scrunching up her face, and then he took her hand, and they ran, heading toward their homes.

Jaxson didn’t let her go, and he didn’t give a shit what anyone else thought if they saw him running with her. They ran as fast as they could, but it wasn’t good enough.

He was soaked through, and he had no doubt Teal would be feeling the same thing as well.

Jaxson nudged her to his home, grabbed his key, and they stumbled inside. He dropped his bag on the floor and immediately turned to Teal.

“You’re shaking. Come on.” Holding her hand once again, he walked upstairs to his bathroom. She was still shaking as he wrapped a towel around her.
