“It’s time to get ready,” he whispers. “We don’t want to be late for your signing.”

Oh crap. Why did he have to go and bring reality into this wonderful wake-up call and ruin it?

I’m dreading today. Not only do I have to go and face Eleanor and Jada, but I’m wearing the same dress as yesterday and it looks like I slept in the forest with it on. Oliver put it in the wash for me, but it didn’t get all of the dirt stains out and it’s all wrinkled up. It’s a mess.

Not only that, but I don’t have any make-up, and I never posted about the book signing on my social media like I promised I would. This is going to be a disaster of a day. They might just take a look at me and send me home for being a mess of a person.

And I wouldn’t blame them.

“Don’t go,” I beg when Oliver pulls away. I just want to stay in this bed and live in this fantasy world for a little bit longer.

I grab his arm and pull him back onto me. He grins as he slides under the covers and presses his body on top of mine. I’m naked under here and he’s wearing nothing but pajama bottoms.

They come off real quick.

I’m already so wet as he climbs on top of me, spreading my legs as he slides into my pussy. I moan when I feel his huge cock penetrating me deep.

At least, I have this.

No matter how badly the day goes today, I’ll be able to think back to this moment of pure bliss and smile.

We’re eating breakfast when the front door swings open hard like someone kicked it down. I jump up, but Oliver doesn’t even flinch.

“It’s my brothers,” he says. “They don’t know how to knock.”

“You okay, bro?” a deep voice says as they walk through the living room. “Is your bear okay, that was a bad one last—who the fuck is that?”

This guy who kind of looks like Oliver is pointing at me with his mouth hanging open.

Another one pops up behind him and looks just as shocked to see me sitting at the breakfast table. His eyes jump to my neck.

“Holy shit, that’s your mate?!”

Oliver is smiling proudly. I could kiss him. I can’t believe he’s so excited to have me as his mate.

“You marked her, bro?”

Oliver stands up and presents me. “This is Layla, my mate. Layla, these are my brothers, Michael and Leo.”

“Hi,” I say, smiling shyly.

They just stare at me in shock.

“Is he here?” A woman’s voice asks. Suddenly, there’s a woman in here too, gawking at me as well. She’s cute with green eyes and auburn hair.

“Layla, this is Leo’s mate, Tara,” Oliver says. “Tara, this is my mate, Layla.”

“Mate?” she says while staring at me like I’m some kind of alien or something. “Where did you find her, Oliver? In the rain?”

“A tree fell on my car,” I say with a shy smile. “He came and rescued me.”

All three of them turn to Oliver. He just beams. He looks so happy. “It’s true.”

They sit around the table and help themselves to our breakfast while they throw a gazillion questions at me.

“Where do you live?”

“What do you do?”

“When are you moving in?”

“Are you afraid of thunder and lightning too?”

I answer as much of them as I can, but then Oliver shuts the intense questioning down. “We have to go,” he says.

“But she just got here!” Michael complains.

“She has a book signing in town,” he says proudly. “My mate is a famous author.”

I’d argue about the famous part. Especially since no one showed up to my signing, but I’m not about to bring that up while they look so interested.

“You have a signing?” Tara asks as she looks me over. “Now?”

“Yeah,” I say, feeling horribly undressed in my dirty, torn, wrinkled dress.

“Would you like to borrow something to wear?”

“Really?” I say, lighting up.

“Of course! You’re part of the crew now.”

“Thank you!”

I feel so relieved as she brings me to her log cabin and shows me some outfits. I pick a cute jean skirt and a black tank top that fits me perfectly. She even lets me use all of her makeup and by the time I’m done, I’m looking pretty good.

“I don’t know how to thank you,” I say when I rush out.

“You don’t have to,” she says with a smile. “We’re sisters now.”

I grin as I nod to her and then hurry over to Oliver’s truck. I didn’t even consider that I’d be getting more in this deal than just Oliver. I’m inheriting his whole family too.

I can’t wait to get to know them all.

“You are fucking stunning,” Oliver says when he sees me running over. He can’t take his eyes off me as I run up to him and kiss his cheek.
