I moved my foot and a twig snapped under my shoe, and Kace looked up through the window.

His eyes landed right on me.

“Fuck,” I hissed under my breath, heat flaring through my body. “Fuck. I—I’m so sorry,” I called out through the open window, bringing my hand to my eyes to shield them as I turned away.

“Oh, thank God, it’s just you,” I heard him call through the open window, as if he was relieved.

Confusion joined the mix of the panicked emotions surging through my body. I dropped my hand down from my eyes, still facing away from the window. “What?”

“Thought you might be one of the cameramen,” Kace said, then let out a low chuckle. “Or worse, one of my exes.”

“I just wanted to check something with the stone pathing,” I clarified. “I didn’t think anyone would be over here—”

Kace let out a low chuckle. “I definitely didn’t think anyone would be over here either, clearly. Are you okay, Nathan? I’m really sorry if I made you uncomfortable.”

“Uncomfortable? No, not at all. Not even a little bit.”

“Don’t want to freak you out.”

I puffed out a nervous laugh. “Give me a break. Seeing a nice cock isn’t anywhere close to enough to freak me out,” I said.

I slowly turned back around to look in the window and was shocked to find that he was right where he had been, sitting there on the bed, his hand still on his hard cock.

I whipped back around. “Jesus. Sorry. I—I thought you would have put your shorts back on by now.”

“You thought I would finish while talking to you?” Kace asked.

A tingle rippled down my spine, my cock perking up, traitorous. Why was that idea exciting?

“That’s not what I meant,” I said. “I didn’t think you’d finish at all.”

“Well, I’m a little surprised you’re still standing there.”

I swore I could hear the smile in his voice. He was amused by all of this?

“What am I going to do, run away?” I protested.

Kace hummed a low, sonorous note. “One time a few years ago, a straight guy in my college dorm accidentally saw me jerking it through an open door, and I swore he was going to vomit. He never looked at me the same way again.”

I rolled my eyes even though I was facing away from Kace. “He was probably just jealous.”

“Jealous?”

I swallowed. “Yeah. You have, like, a monster cock. In a good way, I mean. A porn cock. Better than a porn cock, I guess. Not that I look at that many porn cocks, but, I definitely look at some, you know? Not that—” I broke off into a sigh, realizing that I was rambling like hell, trying to fill the air with words because it was the only way I could stop focusing on how right Kace was.

I wasn’t running away. I was still right here. And some part of me liked this.

Kace let out a sound somewhere between a groan and a sigh. He was silent for a few moments, and when I turned around again, even more slowly this time, I saw that he had lay back onto the bed completely, and was jerking off again, now with his eyes closed.

Seeing him comfortably lying back like that, knowing I was right here, made me feel like I was in a trance. Inches upon inches of tan skin and planes of muscles I kind of wanted to feel with my fingertips, to see how a body like that felt—not just how it looked.

My adrenaline was wearing off, and I was still getting harder, mashing up against the front of my jeans.

Damn it.

I realized I’d been watching for a few moments, entranced, now that Kace’s eyes were closed. When he wasn’t looking back at me, it was like I had room to explore. Room to watch, without being watched back. And I was fucking fascinated, watching through the open window like Kace was putting on a show just for me.

Kace’s eyes fluttered open and he looked right at me. My cheeks flared with heat. I took a step back from the window, my heart knocking against my chest.

“You’re welcome to keep watching,” he murmured, his eyes fixed on mine as he stroked himself, root to tip. “Kind of seems like you want to.”

My stomach went molten.

Maybe I do. The words were right there, and I couldn’t say them.

I didn’t know what to do, because things like this didn’t happen to me. Didn’t happen in my regular, old, boring life. Everything felt surreal, like I’d tapped into some parallel version of myself. And the moment I’d glimpsed it, I craved more. A deep craving that I’d never be able to shove away.

I cleared my throat. “I have to go,” I said, lying through my teeth.

“Okay,” he said simply, like he knew I wasn’t going to leave. “Or you could come inside.”
