Mack didn’t stop at giving me love and a family. He helped me open a dance studio and gave me a life of my own. He let me bloom and find myself while giving me the safety of always being there to catch me. There’s something beautiful about the way he’s helped me become the person I want to be, and I don’t know how I got so lucky.

“No,” Mack cuts in on the vows suddenly, and I blink at him. I was lost in the memories of the years we’ve spent together, and I missed what Lawson said. “Not till death does us part. That won’t even take her from me.”

He pulls me in his arms once more, and his mouth claims mine again. Everyone hoots and hollers when Mack sweeps me off my feet and carries me back down the aisle. Lawson shouts the rest of the vows, making me and everyone else laugh. Technically we’re already married so we don't really have to say them, but Mack doesn’t seem to be taking that chance.

“You’re a caveman, you know that?” I tell him when he carries me up the stairs to the cabin where the reception is set up.

“I’ve got no control when it comes to you, and you should know that by now.”

He really doesn’t, but I don’t care. Mack can steal me away any time he wants.
