Her eyes fall to my lips, and she’s the first one to move, licking away a drop of whiskey, and then the real fun begins.

Chapter 22

Leighton

I’ve tasted a lot of great things from all around the world, but I don’t think there’s anything better than chocolate and whiskey from Gaige Ward’s lips. If there is, I haven’t experienced it yet.

I lick into his mouth again, arching away from the chill of his glass when he presses it to my exposed back. He grins against my lips.

“Cold?”

I nod, unwilling to pull my lips very far from his.

“What do you want tonight?” he asks.

“Everything,” I confess, unwilling to lie.

I do. I want it all.

“Greedy girl.”

He takes a step back, his gaze raking over my entire body as he lifts his glass to his lips.

“You want me to strip you?”

“Slowly.”

“You want me to taste you?”

“Every inch.”

“You want to taste me?”

“Please.”

“What else?”

“Fuck me.”

“And?”

“Tease me.”

“And?”

“Make me beg.”

“It’s going to be a long night.”

I swallow. “I’m ready when you are.”

He drains his glass, the ice clinking as he sets it on the dresser.

“Pull up your dress.”

My fingers tremble in anticipation, the fabric silky against my thighs as I tug.

“No panties? You little minx. What if I had made plans with someone else tonight? Would you have brought someone else up here and showed them that perfect pussy?”

I don’t answer because I don’t really know. It’s possible, I guess, because seeing him with someone other than me would’ve hurt, and I lash out when I’m in pain. He must see that answer in my eyes, but he doesn’t press me further. It tells me that he takes some ownership in the lies he told.

“Mmm. So wet. Is it throbbing?”

“Yes.”

I nod, and it looks like he physically hurts not touching me, regret in his eyes from putting his glass down now that he has nothing to do with his hands.

“No,” he scolds when I reach between my legs. “Don’t touch it.”

I groan my disappointment, drawing a sly grin to his handsome face.

“Take the entire dress off.”

The hem drops around my thighs again as I work open the top at the back of my neck and there’s no grace as I drop it, the slinky thing sliding down my body to puddle at my feet. A bra is impossible to wear with this backless number, leaving me completely naked except for the heels on my feet. He doesn’t seem disappointed at the sight of me, his eyes taking their time, slowly scanning me up and down as if he can’t decide where he wants to focus.

“What now?” I ask, not because I’m nervous standing in front of him or uncomfortable, but because I’m anxious to get this night started. I know what his touch feels like on my skin and need it desperately.

“Come here.”

And I do. I walk toward him, my feet carrying me closer with little to no seductive sway to my hips, too quickly to be coy, so fast he chuckles at my eagerness.

“Enthusiastic,” he whispers as I step close, his fingers brushing my hair off one shoulder without actually touching my body. “I like it.”

I’m trembling at this point, my skin on fire, the tips of my fingers cold and needing the warmth of his own body.

“I want you to ache for me.”

“I do,” I assure him.

His lips brush my jaw, his breath floating over my cheek, and it’s the only point of contact as he steps back when I try to inch in closer.

“Don’t move.”

I love his bossiness. I even told him that the first night, but damn I really want to disobey right now. The gentle fingers that moved my hair now tangle there, the tenderness turning feral as he tangles them in the strands, gripping a handful so he can angle my chin to his liking. His mouth is on my throat, on my collarbone, tongue licking at that triangle where my pounding pulse takes a deeper dive into my chest.

I feel him everywhere even though he’s only touching a small part of my person, and I moan with both satisfaction and need.

“You have the softest skin,” he says, and I smile with the praise, raising my hands to his hips.

My own hands brush fabric, and I despise his clothes right now, wishing to touch his bare skin.

He doesn’t correct me, doesn’t command me to drop my hands, doesn’t threaten to tie me up, and just the thought of that sends a tremble up my body. I’ve never experienced that, being restrained while with a lover. I couldn’t chance it before. Putting faith in men I just met for sex is never smart, but my body is fully on board to let those things happen with Gaige. Hell, I slicken with just the prospect of doing it with the man lowering his mouth over the top swell of my breasts. I had no clue when I told him everything that it would include things I had never imagined before.
