A hot, sticky explosion forcing its way inside of me. Shot after shot spraying inside of me, filling me up, oozing back out of me, covering my thighs and pouring down onto the bedsheets.

I cry out, and my own orgasm rocks me, harder this time.

“Callum!” I moan, snatching his muscular body in my arms. “I’m coming!”

His release flows into me, making me feel more like a woman than I ever have in my entire life. I accept it all, clutching him to me as he buries his cock deep inside of me and holds it there until he’s done. We come together, locked in an embrace until finally we both sigh and slump down together onto the bed, gasping for breath.

“Oh my God…” I sigh.

“I’m sorry,” he says. “If I hurt you there, I just couldn’t help myself.”

“No.” I shake my head. “It was incredible. You are incredible. I’m almost happy that…”

My voice trails off as I stop short of the scariest admission of my life. Callum opens his mouth like he’s going to press me but stops and simply smiles. Does he know what I was going to say? Yeah, probably. But like a gentleman, he lets it be.

“So is everything okay from earlier?” I ask, trying to change the subject. “You left in such a hurry with your henchman. What’s his name again?”

“Geoffrey,” Callum says. “But let’s not get into that and ruin such a great moment.”

“All right,” I reply. “What should we do then? Cuddle? I don’t see you as much of a cuddler—”

But before I can even finish speaking, Callum is on his feet, lifting me in his arms and heading for the door. I yelp and throw my arms around his neck as he carries me out of the room and down the hall to his bedroom.

“A little help?” he asks, leaning me down so I can open the door for him as he’s got his arms full with me.

“My oh my,” I tease as he brings me inside his forbidden domain. “I must really be special if I’m being allowed in here.”

“Don’t push your luck,” he spars back, carrying me to the bed. “Or I’ll put you outside in the cold.”

I know he’s just playing, but I give him a little slap on the arm anyway. God, his muscles are so hard.

He tosses me down onto the bed, and I giggle as he pulls the covers back so I can climb underneath with him. Is this what it’s like to be the woman of the house? I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but I can’t help but feel as though I’ve just broken down some barrier Callum has had up for a long, long time. Not only that, but I’m finally able to admit to myself that the feelings I have for him are real.

I am not just falling for Callum Alister; I have fallen for him.

Chapter Seven

Evie

When I wake up the next morning, Callum isn’t in bed with me, but that doesn’t worry me. I know he’s up and already working. He hasn’t abandoned me; he’s a busy man with an empire to run. So I get up and go to into the bathroom to shower and freshen up. When I return to the bedroom, I see there is already a selection of clothes laid out for me in the walk-in closet, brought down from my room while I slept. For such a ferocious and feared man, he really can be quite a gentleman.

I could get used to this, I think as I slip into an elegant yet casual black dress and a pair of black heels. Four delicate diamond necklaces have also been laid out along with a note from Callum.

Not sure if you like bling, but I thought since you’re the new queen you might as well look the part.

I giggle and pick the least ostentatious of the group and try it on. Despite its modesty, I imagine it probably cost a sizeable chunk of the house I grew up in. And to see three others lying there casually reminds me again of Callum’s incredible wealth and power.

Smiling to myself, I leave the closet and head back to the bedroom. Noticing another door that doesn’t lead to the bathroom or the hallway, I go through it and find myself in a private office with a large desk. At it is Geoffrey, doing something at a computer which I can only assume belongs to Callum.

“Checking his emails for him?” I ask.

Geoffrey almost jumps out of his skin at the sound of my voice and quickly taps the mouse, closing whatever it was he was doing and then closes the laptop as well.

“Evie! What are you doing here?”

“Well, I was sleeping,” I reply. “But now I’m talking to you.”
