Andrei groaned and pulled Lucas’s hips into his. He spread his legs and began a slow roll—cock to cock—rubbing against Lucas. Lucas’s body felt hard and hot against his. Andrei slid his hands to Lucas’s ass, dug his fingers in and kneaded the taut globes, pressing harder against him. He buried his face in Lucas’s neck, licked the hint of sweat under his jaw, rubbed his face against the stubble.

It was like an inferno lit between them.

Lucas worked his hand between them, unbuttoned Andrei’s jeans, and slid his hand inside his boxers. He wrapped his fingers around Andrei’s cock, rough and hard. He tightened his fingers and pulled up, then pressed down.

Andrei gasped and thrust into Lucas’s hand. He wedged his shaking fingers between them and opened Lucas’s jeans, wrapped his fingers around Lucas’s cock, amazed that he loved touching another man like this. Hot, velvet skin over a hard steel shaft. He stroked his fingers up and down, opening his mouth over Lucas’s neck as the other man worked his cock.

Nothing had ever torn him down to such a basic level, had turned him into a man who felt, tasted and breathed in another’s scent like he couldn’t…or wouldn’t… live without it. He pulled back enough to slant his mouth over Lucas’s, swallowing the other man’s groan as Lucas increased the speed of his hand.

Andrei saw stars. He wanted this to last, to go on forever, but it was building so damned fast. He gasped, then sucked Lucas’s tongue into his mouth, rubbing his thumb over the gathering moisture at the head of Lucas’s dick with every upward slide of his hand. Lucas thrust his hips harder, setting a faster pace as he slid up and down in his hand and Andrei realized through his own fog of lust that he’d reduced this strong, controlled man to one who couldn’t seem to stop thrusting against him while he let out shaky, low moans.

Again, he pulled back. But this time it was to meet that half-glazed stare. They locked on each other and their movements slowed, became languid. Lucas’s mouth dropped open, his eyes slid mostly shut and only a hint of glittering green and gray stayed on him as Lucas spilled over his hand. Andrei couldn’t stop the cry that tore from his throat as he used his free hand to pull Lucas’s mouth back to his. He pressed hard against him, thrusting into Lucas’s hand.

Lucas pulled away, his lips skimming along his cheek to his ear. “Please baby, come for me. I need you…” he panted. Something fragile and vulnerable in Lucas’s voice pierced Andrei’s chest, sending him soaring toward the edge. Lucas squeezed and Andrei lost it, trying hard to hold in the noise, failing as it felt like his heart had been pulled through his cock.

He sagged against the wall, wiped his hand on it.

Lucas turned and did the same, then chuckled. “Shit, Andrei.” The words were hardly more than a whisper.

He didn’t speak again and Andrei was fine with that. He didn’t know if this had been brought on by his bar story, and he didn’t care. He’d gone to that bar to settle his own worries, but he’d known the concern had been playing in the back of Lucas’s mind as well. Lucas had probably been worried that he’d coerced or forced Andrei into this arrangement. No, whatever this was, took no coercion.

Andrei shook his head. “You’d better get out of here. We don’t need Rowe walking in on this shit.”

Lucas gave him one more direct look then kissed him softly. The kind of kiss that made something flutter inside Andrei’s chest.

“Yeah, the poor guy’s got enough on his mind.” He walked to the door after he arranged his clothes again.

“Lucas.”

He stopped as he reached for the doorknob and looked over his shoulder at Andrei. In a low, heated voice, Andrei repeated the same bit of nonsense Romanian he’d translated for Lucas their one night together. As he’d hoped, Lucas smiled broadly at him, chuckling softly. The words meant nothing, but it was the moment they were both clinging to. A good memory in this blood and pain and fear. It wasn’t just Lucas’s life on the line anymore. If Andrei screwed up, if this bastard discovered his true intent, Andrei was dead.

But for now, in the broken-down abandoned school in the middle of nowhere, deep in the hills of Kentucky, they were laughing and the world could wait.

Chapter 20

Nodding briefly to George as the bodyguard finished his inspection of Lucas’s office, Lucas walked to his desk, placing his briefcase on the surface. Tonight was the night of the “attack.” Andrei was scheduled to have his meeting with the man pulling all the strings and then he was to lead them over to the penthouse where they would break in. Of course, Rowe and several of his people were already going to be in place to capture Lucas’s would-be attacker, not allowing one of them to get near Lucas. But if all went according to their plan, it would be over tonight. The bastard would be caught and Lucas could return to his normal life.
