The restaurant goes quiet, all eyes on us.

Jax turns and faces them all. “And you guys thought I’d never find love. Turns out I’m into fancy suit types from the Big Apple. Who knew?”

Several people chuckle and then the restaurant buzzes with life again, no one too concerned over the fact their sheriff claimed the B&B owner as his.

“So I guess this means you’ll be my plus one at Adrian and Rylan’s wedding?” I say with a grin as he guides me out of the restaurant.

“I thought that was a given. But, if you need to hear it, absolutely, Dante. I’ll be your plus one wherever you go. Always.”

My heart is full as we walk outside. He releases my hand to stand next to my Range Rover. Wherever we’re going, I’m driving. I smirk at him as I get behind the wheel. He makes motions with his hand, directing me down the streets until we’re on his road. Finally he points to his driveway. I turn into it and shut off the engine.

“What now?”

Jax fishes something out of his pocket. “Hold out your hand.”

When I do as he says, he places a key into my palm.

“A key?” I ask, my brow arched.

“I want you to move in, Dante. I want you to park in this driveway every goddamn day because that’s where you belong. Right here with me.”

Emotion clogs my throat and I swallow it down. “I have Callan and—”

“I have the room. I want you both here. Besides, Shelly will need those rooms at the B&B. You guys are already booked out starting next weekend through the summer. It was meant to be.” His brown eyes shine. “We were meant to be. Say you’ll move in with me.”

“Yeah, Sheriff, I’ll move in with you.” I lean over the console, clutching his neck and drawing him forward until our lips nearly touch. “Though I’m suspicious that you really just want me to move in to take care of your four cats and Ox.”

“Guilty,” he teases. “But how was I supposed to say no to Cato when he said he found Mongrel’s kitten Mongrel Junior? I can’t separate the family. MJ needed his daddy.”

I pull him to my lips and kiss him. “I love you, Jaxson Bell. So fucking much.”

“Love you too, big city man.”

Jaxson

June

They’re an unlikely pair.

I wonder if that’s what people think about me and Dante. The gruff sheriff shacking up with the suave B&B owner. It doesn’t matter what they think, though. Love is love. Even if it doesn’t match up or look right. As long as the two people, whose hearts are involved, are happy, then the rest doesn’t matter.

Dante, a sexy-ass snack in a tux, stands beside Adrian, winking at me. Earlier, when I pinned his boutonniere on his lapel, I’d considered ripping his clothes off long enough for me to fuck him wild, but there wasn’t enough time.

Later.

Later I will get my fill of my gorgeous guy.

Adrian Frost, a serious, stern businessman, stands motionless like a stone statue as he waits for his groom to come down the aisle. The man in question, Rylan Moore, is as opposite to Adrian as anyone could be. Colorful. Funny. Chatty. It surprises me they somehow match, but seeing them last night at the rehearsal dinner, I realized just how much they love each other.

The music starts and Rylan struts down the aisle in a white tux that fits him like a glove. Adrian loses his rigidness as a smile breaches his handsome face. His eyes light up the closer Rylan gets, as though Rylan himself is the sun shining light on Adrian, a dark void in space. From beside Adrian, Dante wears a goofy grin of happiness I’ve never seen before. My heart flops in my chest.

As they say their vows, I wonder what my own wedding will look like one day. I imagine it’ll be similar to this one, held in the barn on the cliff overlooking the sparkling Wolffish Bay. But instead of a stern businessman waiting for me, it’ll be Dante.

Villain smiles.

Teasing smirks.

Taunting words.

Sexy and funny and loyal.

A caring brother, friend, and boyfriend.

Driven businessman who had the courage to uproot his family and start anew in a new town, even when the hits kept on coming.

Mine.

His hazel eyes drift my way, the sun coming in through the open doorway making them light up like the glittery bay.

“You may kiss your husband,” the preacher says to the two men. “I now pronounce you happily married.”

Rylan throws his arms around Adrian’s neck in an over the top gesture. Rather than shoving him away or keeping it tame for the audience, Adrian grabs his ass, lifting him up. With his legs wrapped around Adrian and his fingers messing up his hair, Rylan kisses him with fiery passion hotter than the sun.
