“No one can see?” she asked, already getting breathless as I slipped under her skirt and started to kiss up her thigh. “You’re sure?”

I didn’t answer.

Just pulled her panties to the side.

Then traced my tongue up her cleft, and started to circle her clit.

Her leg lifted, going over my shoulder, and her hands were grabbing my hair as I drove her up.

“Seth, please,” she whimpered, trying to pull me away.

“Please what?” I asked, kissing her inner thigh.

“Please fuck me,” she said, making a growl move through me as I got to my feet.

Her hands were all over me as I fished out the condom, as I slid it on.

Grabbing her, I turned her, pressing her to the glass as I pulled up her skirt, and pulled down her panties, then surged deep inside of her.

Her cries echoed back to me as I started to fuck her.

Hard, fast, deep.

My hand went up, curling into her hair, holding her as I drove her up.

Her pussy tightened as her moans filled the room.

Then she was coming, clenching my cock over and over, taking me with her.

“Fuck,” I growled when we both slowed our breathing and heartbeats.

“Yeah,” she agreed, exhaling hard as I slid out of her, reaching down to pull her panties back into place. “I needed that,” she admitted as she turned.

I dealt with the condom, then took the garbage full of snack food wrappers with me as we made our way back down out of the room, then through the basement, and finally up into the common area again.

“Where are the kids?” I finally remembered to ask.

“Oh, actually Layna and your sister are watching them?”

“Kit? Kit is watching them?” I asked, inwardly cringing.

“What? What’s the look about? Did you not want her to meet them yet?”

“No, babe, that’s not it. It’s just that once Kit meets them, my mom is gonna want to meet them since my old man already did.”

“I wouldn’t mind meeting your mom,” she admitted, giving me a smile. “You know… whenever you feel ready to tell everyone. If you want to. No press—“

“Of course I’m gonna tell her. I am only holding back because of the kids. Figure it’s your place to decide when things are right for them to meet new people.”

“I think I might need to talk to Isaac about us,” she said. “I don’t think Hazel really understands this kind of thing yet, but Isaac deserves transparency.”

“And it might be nice to actually get to share a bed,” I agreed.

“I don’t want Clara to keep you up,” she said, shrugging. “It’s okay if—“

“I don’t mind being woken up now and again, Lana. Or we can get a monitor if you are worried about us… traumatizing her,” I said, getting a laugh out of her.

“It would probably be good for her to not always wake up to having me right there. It would be good at this point for her to learn to do some self-soothing. She’s old enough now.”

“So, what I’m hearing is I should swing by the store and grab one before I come home tonight,” I said, surprised by how right that sounded.

Coming home.

To her.

And the kids.

Yeah, that shit sounded good to me.

“And maybe I’ll grab something for dinner,” I added. “You’re always cooking.”

“I don’t mind cooking. We should do tacos. It’s Isaac’s favorite.”

“Mine too,” I agreed.

And a couple of hours later, that was what I walked into.

The kids at the table screwing around with Play-Doh, the baby in her highchair with some soft toys, and Rodney at Lana’s feet, hoping for some scraps as she chopped up lettuce for the tacos while the meat and seasonings simmered in a pot.

“This feels right,” I told her as her head lifted, her gaze landing on me.

“It kind of does,” she agreed, giving me a tentative smile.

“Kit and Layna cleared out?” I asked.

“Something about karaoke night,” she said, nodding. “So, what kind of topping do you want on your tacos?” she asked.

“What kinda question is that? Lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, and some sour cream.”

“You have to ask!” she said, smiling. “Sim… someone I knew used to put Thousand Island dressing on theirs.”

“That should have been the first red flag right there,” I said, shaking my head.

So then we had dinner.

We cleaned up.

We sent Hazel out to watch a show while we talked to Isaac.

He’d sat there stoically, body tense, until his mom got to the point about the two of us dating.

It was then that Isaac got up, went to his little backpack, and pulled out a folded piece of paper, and brought it over to the fridge, using the magnets to hang it up.

His mom and I recognized it instantly from the first day they came into my house, the one he’d hidden from us. Of the house with all of us in it, his mom and I holding hands.
