“Anything for you, Rowen.” He turns into my body, never leaving my thigh, cupping my neck and slowly kissing me, something he’s been doing the entire time during our date. And it’s doing nothing but building up this ache inside of me.
“Braxton, please. I need you,” I moan in between kisses. He pulls back, looking into my eyes. I can see everything he’s thinking, and I hope he can see everything I’m feeling for him. When I was sixteen, I became aware of everything that was and is Braxton Martinez. The way his body moved. He may have been seven years older than me, but that didn’t stop me from fantasizing about everything under the sun and even more that would have me writhing in pleasure at night. I knew one day he’d be mine, come hell or high water. I’d have his last name, we’d have two or three children, live in a house on the edge of town, a white picket fence, and even a dog was what my dreams consisted of back then. Right now, he’s showing me he’ll make all my dreams come true.
“Siren, we’ll get to the good part, I promise. Right now, though, I need you to let it build up. It’ll be so much more once I’m deep inside you, marking you as mine, fucking finally.” Braxton lets out a groan of his own. That could be partly from the way his fingers can feel how wet I am for him or because my hand is on his length, cupping him through the denim. His head rolls back on his neck, eyes shuttering closed as I squeeze and move my hand, wanting to feel him in my hand, my mouth, and finally letting him take me.
“I’m ready to go. Look, the ride is coming to an end. You may want to, you know, fix yourself before everyone gets a look at your package.” I squeeze him one more time before pulling my hand away.
“Two can play that game, Rowen.” Braxton’s finger slides further inside my panties, barely grazing my clit. I can’t help but rock my hips, chasing after the high only Braxton can seem to give me. My own fingers can’t even work me up this fast, but it seems like one small sweep of my clit, his voice telling me everything he’s going to do, and I’m ready to tumble over the edge.
He takes his fingers away from my center. Doing what I least expect him to do, he brings the fingers that are wet with my desire to his mouth and licks them off.
“Shit, that’s hot,” I mutter. My butt hits the seat, causing us to rock more and scaring the crap out of me.
Braxton is laughing, but his arm comes back around me, holding me tight until it’s our turn to get off the ride. I grab the ridiculously huge bear Braxton won, smiling the entire time as we make our way through the festival.
“Ready to leave?” Braxton asks.
“Yes,” I reply breathlessly.
“Yeah, you are.” He means more than me being ready to leave. His arm is wrapped around my shoulder, mine is wrapped around his waist, my other arm holding the bear. Smiles are plastered on our faces while we meander out to the exit of the festival. Braxton didn’t let me drive the Bronco. I was kind of bummed out about that until he promised he’d take us out on the land his parents own, and he’d teach me how to drive it. I think I almost fainted a little bit at his offer.
We are both lost in our own world when I hear Taylor call, “Hey, girl, hey!”
“Hi!” I wave with my fingers. Braxton shakes Slade’s hand, but not before Slade says, “If Bridger doesn’t know about this, you never saw us and we never saw you.” Taylor and I are doubled over laughing because it wasn’t long ago that her brother, Travis, was ready to beat Slade black and blue, but Bridger somehow intervened. But look who isn’t this time.
“Wow, I never took you for a hypocrite, Slade,” I retort before Braxton can say something.
“I’m just saying it’s better to hear it from your mouth than from these town gossip mongers.” Slade shrugs his shoulders before murmuring, “Your funeral though.”
“He knows. Doesn’t mean he’s happy about it. Pretty sure Rowen put him in his place, not that it’s made too much of a difference,” Braxton inputs.
“He’ll come around. If not, Kellie will make sure he does,” Taylor interrupts.
“You’re not wrong about that,” Slade pipes in. We talk for a few minutes before we say our goodbyes, and I’m so ready to see what tonight will bring. Some people might think it’s weird that I told my parents I’d see them tomorrow, but Mom took one look at me when I walked through the door and spilled my guts and understood. She told me she’d ease Dad into this whole ‘his baby girl finding a man’ thing. I hated like hell to put more on her plate, but sometimes a girl just needs her mom, which was me at that point. I just needed my mom. I’m so thankful she was there too, even if she was in the hospital last week, giving me a mini-heart attack.
