Once he was gone, she turned to Bonnie and Titus with a shaky smile. “Thanks so much. I don’t know what I would have done without the two of you to back me up.”

She still felt shaky and her stomach was tied in knots.

Bonnie eyed her for a long moment. “Ice cream.”

“What?”

“What you need is ice cream. You’ll come back to LittleLand. I have a whole freezer full.”

“Oh . . . but . . .”

“Ice cream,” Bonnie said firmly. There was a look in her eyes that said she wasn’t taking no for an answer.

“My car . . .” She glanced over. Only, she wasn’t sure that she actually wanted to drive right now.

“We’re only five minutes from my place. Titus will drive your car behind us. Right, Titus?”

Titus frowned but nodded.

“Oh . . . I . . . um . . .” Would Aidan want this man driving his SUV?

Heck. It wasn’t like it would be any safer with her driving.

“Okay,” she said meekly.

Bonnie took her hand and led her over to a late-model Jeep. It wasn’t until she climbed in that she realized she didn’t have her handbag or phone with her.

“Oh no.”

“What’s wrong?” Bonnie asked, starting up the vehicle. She looked behind her as she backed out.

Smart.

“I left my phone in my car.”

“Don’t worry. Titus will grab it for you.”

“He didn’t look too happy about having to drive my car.”

“Oh, he doesn’t mind. Don’t be fooled by his resting grumpy face. He’s a marshmallow.”

Um, sure he was.

Bonnie pulled up around the back of LittleLand.

“You live here too?”

“I have an apartment in the back. You definitely need some ice cream, you’re far too pale. You shouldn’t let that asshole get to you. He was just a jerk.”

Bonnie led her to the backdoor just as Titus pulled up.

“Bonnie, you should have waited for me,” he grumbled as he walked up, carrying Greer’s handbag.

“Titus, it’s not my fault you drive so slowly.”

“You’re too reckless,” he muttered back.

She sighed. “Come on, Greer. What sort of ice cream do you want?”

“Um, whatever you have.”

“Oh, I have everything.” They stepped into a colorful kitchen. Was that a pink fridge? Next to the pink fridge was a free-standing freezer with a glass door.

And it was filled with ice cream.

“Holy. Heck.”

“I take ice cream very seriously,” Bonnie said. “Now, what flavor do you want?”

“Mint chocolate chip.”

“Good choice. I’m going to have bubblegum.” Bonnie got them each a tub and a spoon and they sat at her small table.

“It’s cute in here.”

“It is, isn’t it?” As well as a pink fridge, she also had a pink backsplash. There were pink appliances on the white counter. The chairs they were sitting at were white and the table had a pink tablecloth on it.

Maybe a bit too much pink, but she wouldn’t say anything.

“Now, eat,” Bonnie urged. “It will settle your nerves.”

“Thanks for helping me back there,” she said, spooning up some ice cream. Yummy.

“No offense, but you seemed to need it. You kind of looked like you’d frozen.”

“I’m not good with people yelling at me. Or any sort of conflict, really.”

Bonnie nodded. “I get it. That guy was a jerk. He wasn’t going to listen to reason, which is why I had to threaten him.”

Right. She said that so matter-of-factly. As though it was normal.

“You shouldn’t be out on your own,” Titus grumbled as he poured himself some coffee.

Bonnie sighed as Greer gaped at the big guy. “What?”

“Don’t worry about Titus. He has some old-fashioned views about women.”

“He thinks women shouldn’t be allowed out on their own?” That seemed a bit extreme.

“Littles,” he grunted.

She blinked at him. “You think that Littles shouldn’t be out on their own?”

“Not if their owner cares about them.”

“Owner?” she squeaked.

“He means their Dom. Not their owner,” Bonnie said with a glare at Titus.

“I said what I said,” Titus countered. His phone beeped. “Got to go outside for a moment. Stay in here.”

Whoa. He was next level. Bonnie rolled her eyes as he left.

“And I thought Hack was bossy,” she muttered.

“Speaking of Hack . . . how are the two of you doing? If you don’t mind my saying, you are a super cute couple but when you were here the other day you seemed a bit . . . hesitant?”

Should she tell her? She didn’t know this woman but she had just rescued her from that horrible man.

She took a spoonful of ice cream as she thought about that. “This is very new to me. I’ve known I was a Little for a while, but the only interactions I’ve had with a Daddy Dom have been online.”

Bonnie nodded. “I get it . . . it’s hard to meet people who share the kinks you do . . . and who are decent fucking people that you might want to be with.”

“Also . . . I’m a little, uh, scared of men. Not Hack,” she added hastily as Bonnie frowned. “He doesn’t scare me, wouldn’t hurt me. But I’ve been hurt in the past.”
