“You can go deeper. Promise.” Canaan’s eyes were closed now, head tipped back.

“If I do, I’m gonna come.” Renzo stroked Canaan’s cock faster, loving how it made Canaan tighten around him.

“Do it. Want it.”

The last of Renzo’s control shattered, hips speeding up without his brain’s permission, fucking deeper now, harder. And he was right there. Right there. But he needed...needed...

Canaan moved his hand from Renzo’s shoulder to tangle with Renzo’s free hand on his leg, squeezing it tight. “Want it. Need you.”

Apparently that was what his body had been waiting for, sliding the rest of the way home, balls brushing Canaan’s body.

“There.” Canaan’s whole back bowed, teeth digging into his full lower lip, and Renzo was a goner, coming even before Canaan’s first spurt coated his fist. Felt like he’d smacked into a blast wave, everything distorted—time, senses, reality. Wave after wave hit, leaving him weak, almost sobbing with it. He narrowly avoided collapsing into Canaan, using the last of his sanity to take care of the condom and roll to his back next to Canaan. Gathering him close, he shuddered, over and over.

“Level ten achieved.” Canaan laughed and licked Renzo’s neck. “That wasn’t so hard, was it?”

“Oh, it was hard.” Renzo could barely talk. “Fuck. I never...”

“Yeah? That good?” Sounding incredibly proud of himself, Canaan snuggled in closer.

“So good. Magic lube. Magic condom. Magic you.”

“Magic me? I like the sound of that.”

“Almost came just from watching you take my fingers,” he admitted. “Fuck. You’re so hot.”

“So are you.” Canaan kissed him softly on the lips. “You’re pretty damn special.”

“Think that’s my line.” Renzo returned the kiss, lazy and slow, no more urgency to it, kissing until he was almost asleep, drifting along on the kiss and the closeness and the utter high of the sex. If it was possible to feel better than this, he had no clue what that would look like because this was as close to perfection as he’d ever found.

* * *

The second day at Disney was weird for Renzo. He wasn’t too familiar with hangovers, but he was pretty sure he had one from the sex the night before. He kept catching himself grinning like a loon, lost in the memory of what they’d done. They’d gotten off together again that morning—Canaan getting his favorite wakeup—and simply grinding with the good lube and remembering how it had felt to be inside Canaan had made Renzo come fast.

He needed to focus on his family, since time with them was short. Neither of his parents had a lot of leave from their jobs, so tomorrow they’d be traveling back. He might not see them again until the holidays, and even that was a matter of whether he was even stateside at that time.

“You could come for the Fourth of July,” his mom said at lunch, as if she’d been following his thoughts. Canaan was talking to Joe about which live action show they might see after lunch, and his dad was checking the baseball scores again. “Your aunt Carmen was talking about a big potluck at the shore either then or Labor Day.”

“Not sure. This lull of my team’s won’t last much longer. Could be deployed by then.” Somehow, seeing the whole family didn’t seem as daunting as it sometimes did. He still worried they were all judging him, blaming him for Joe’s accident, but maybe Canaan was right—it was fifteen years ago now, and he really had been just a kid. Not that Canaan was some kind of Renzo whisperer, but his words combined with the reality of seeing his folks and Joe again, seeing them aging, had combined to mellow Renzo a little.

“You know we’d welcome you anytime.” His mother rubbed her neck, same as Renzo was always doing when he was uncomfortable. Her eyes darted down the table to Canaan. “You could bring a friend. If that makes a difference.”

It did actually, because as much as Renzo had mixed feelings about his family, Canaan would most likely love a visit to Philly, would love the food and the little kids and all the chaos. And it meant something, her extending the invite to Canaan too.

“I’ll see,” he promised. “And I’ll let you know before we deploy, even if it’s a middle-of-the-night text, so don’t worry, okay?”

She’d always worry because she was his mom and that was how it worked, but he at least tried to mitigate it. After lunch, Joe was much more tired than he’d been the day before, and Canaan volunteered to sit with him and Renzo’s dad at one of the quieter shows, so that Renzo could take his mom to the Downtown Disney District shops she’d been wanting to see.

“I texted Grandpa this morning. Got fluent in which baseball teams are doing well.” Canaan grinned at Renzo’s father, and to Renzo’s complete surprise, his dad smiled back.
