“I know. Which also gets me all hot.”
I cracked up. “Okay, so it’s a win-win.”
“Yep.” He pushed off the car and spun to face me. “Forever. I like the sound of that, regardless of who’s making the decisions.”
“Hnnnn.” I shoved him back lightly. “Don’t say shit like that when I can’t kiss you.” Because, God, I’d thought I wanted to kiss him back in the conference room. Now it was tenfold. Forever with Ramsey? I could definitely handle that. “Distract me STAT, before I do something stupid.”
He laughed and canted his head toward the car door. “Wanna go pick up some food, take it to Houston’s, and annoy the ever-loving shit out of him?”
“Hell yes.”
“And then we’ll go take a look at your house, and you can kiss the fuck out of me. Maybe more.”
“Double hell yes.”

RAMSEY
The next two weeks were crazy as hell. We lost to Houston in the second round of the playoffs. It fucking sucked, and I still wasn’t over it. Partly, at least, I’d wanted to win it all with Garrett on the field with me, to share that experience with him. That would be something to look forward to, I kept reminding myself.
I couldn’t pretend we weren’t both a little nervous, even after the meeting with the Rush management, but they seemed to be behind us. They knew Garrett and I made this team better, so as long as we kept playing at this level and football came first—at least in their eyes—I had to believe we’d be okay.
“We ready for today?” G asked, turning toward me in bed and nuzzling my chest.
“Not sure. I was thinking we should probably blow each other first.”
“You’re the horniest motherfucker I’ve never known.”
“Are you complaining?” I rolled on top of him, bent like I was going to kiss him, but licked the length of his cheek instead.
“Gross.”
“Aw, you like my tongue on you. Doesn’t matter where I’m tasting you, does it?”
“No.” He thrust his erection against mine. “And no, I’m not complaining. I too happen to be a horny motherfucker.”
“So you wanna fool around?” I waggled my eyebrows playfully.
“Fuck yes. But you also know it’s okay to be nervous about today, right?”
Sometimes it sucked that Garrett knew me so well. I wasn’t sure how that had happened so quickly, but it had. While I’d decided I didn’t want to make a big deal about coming out and being in a relationship with Garrett, we knew we had to make an announcement to the team, at least. It was one thing to let the world figure out on their own and hope there wasn’t too much fallout, but another to lie to our teammates. Especially because I didn’t plan on hiding how I felt about him.
“Nervous? Who’s nervous?” I kissed him.
“Rams…”
I kissed him again.
“Stop trying to distract me with your mouth.”
“Should I distract you with my dick instead?”
“I mean, maybe.” Garrett winked. “We don’t have to do this. If you wanna keep quiet for a while, we can. We can just be roommates or whatever.”
“Um…do you live here?” I teased.
“Oh…I didn’t mean to insinuate… Why did I…”
“I’m kidding. You stay here almost every night, already. It sucks sleeping without you. Who am I supposed to cuddle with? My body pillow doesn’t compare to Garrett fucking McRae.” He laughed, but I was serious. “You’ll be having renovations done on your house anyway. Might as well stay with your boyfriend until they’re done.”
Garrett looked at me like I’d lit up his whole damn world. “You wanna?”
“I wanna.” Another kiss. “I also wanna tell the team because I’m not hiding you. I told you that already. You’re it for me. Fuck keeping that quiet.”
“Just for that, I’ll lick your hole the way you like.”
“That the only reason?”
“No. I just like my tongue in your ass.”
Garrett ate me out as promised, then sucked my cock down his throat and fingered me until my dick erupted like a volcano in his mouth. After that, I gave him the best blowjob in history, and we showered together and got dressed. We’d just made it downstairs when a familiar pounding sound came from my front door. “Fuck my life.”
I hadn’t seen my dad since Thanksgiving, when he’d almost caught me and Garrett together. He must have found some money, so he hadn’t tried to get some from me for a while, but he always came back.
“That who I think it is?” G asked.
“I’m pretty sure. Well, unless the paparazzi found out about us already and they’re breaking down my door.”
“Can I get it?”
I signaled for him to go for it.
Garrett walked over with a self-satisfied grin and opened the door. “Can I help you?”
I chuckled.
“I’d like to see my son.” He shoved his way into the house, and Garrett let him.
“What do you want, Dad? My boyfriend and I are heading out.” I might as well start the not hiding right now. We were on our way to tell the team anyway. Eventually, it would leak. I’d meant it when I said I was done keeping quiet, and I wasn’t going to tiptoe around my dad either. If he turned out to be homophobic, it was another reason he didn’t belong in my life unless he made changes.
