“Okay, but after lunch I want you to go down for a nap, understood? I won’t accept any excuses.”

She nodded. That seemed unreasonable and probably wouldn’t fit in with her schedule, but if it made him happy right now, she would agree to it.

“Sadie…” he said in a warning voice. “You have a mischievous look in your eyes that says you’re humoring Daddy. That will never go well for you.”

She grinned and shrugged her shoulders. “If I’m naughty, will you bring me up here and spank me?”

He groaned. “Sweetheart, if you’re so naughty that you manipulate your Daddy into getting what you want, I’ll do much more than just spank you, and I can assure you an orgasm will not follow my punishment.”

She gave him a fake pout, sticking her bottom lip out. “Darn.”

He chuckled before rolling away from her and off the bed. He reached out a hand. “Let’s shower.”

She sat up quickly and scooted toward him. She hadn’t gotten to see all of him for more than a few seconds before he’d rolled on the condom and climbed between her legs.

Damn, he was handsome. Every inch of him. His cock was still hard and standing out. His chest was broad, his pecs firm; the sprinkling of hair on his body made him even more attractive.

She let her gaze slide up and down his frame until he snagged her hand. “Shower, naughty girl. Now.”

“Are you going to shower with me?” she pleaded.

He groaned as they entered the bathroom. He released her to turn on the water. “Yes, but you’re going to face the wall while I wash you, and then I’m going to wrap you in a towel and send you to the closet in your playroom to get dressed for work.”

“That’s no fun,” she said, adding an intentional whine to her voice. She hardly knew this side of herself. Whining? Begging? Stalling? This Sadie was new, but she thought she liked her. She was fun and playful, with a naturally connecting personality that always enabled her to make friends easily. Perhaps she would think of ways to get into trouble just to see what would happen.

Daddy had said lots of Little girls misbehaved because they enjoyed having their bottoms peppered. It had seemed silly to her at the time, but now that she thought about it, maybe it wasn’t a bad idea.

As Daddy guided her into the shower and under the spray, angling her so she faced the wall, she thought of little ways she could misbehave to taunt him. Maybe that would take her mind off her problems. Instead of worrying about the bad men who were after her all day, she could plot future naughty behavior.

Yep. That’s what she would do. It would be fun. At least she thought so.

“Sadie…” Daddy said in a warning voice as he rubbed shampoo into her hair. “Whatever you’re thinking, wipe it from your mind, Little girl. You’ll be over Daddy’s knees before breakfast and spend the day with a very sore bottom if you don’t adjust your focus.”

She giggled and looked over her shoulder. “Maybe I feel kind of naughty, Daddy.”

Chapter Twenty

After sneaking a look around to make sure no one could see her, Sadie rubbed her sore bottom. It turned out plucking soggy cereal out of your bowl and decorating the table with corn flake snowmen was not acceptable in her Daddy’s eyes. She’d only flicked one small flake toward him. It could have missed.

He’d flipped her over his lap and yanked up her sundress so fast she hadn’t even had time to come up with an excuse. Okay, so she had tried to push his limits to see where the boundary was. Sadie had found it. That’s for sure, she thought as she smoothed her sundress over her stinging derriere.

She felt her lips curve into a grin. It had been so much fun, though.

“That’s a guilty smile if I’ve ever seen one,” Hawking said, coming through the front door.

“Oh, I just thought of a funny joke,” she said quickly. When he opened his mouth, she knew he was going to ask her to tell it. “It’s a girl joke. You won’t think it’s funny.”

“Gotcha. I’m coming to check on the applicants for the security positions.”

“The first guy just checked in. I put him in the conference room where you all first met. How would you like me to handle the next applicants?” she asked.

“Just take their names and have them wait in the lobby. I’ll be able to tell if they’re right in a few seconds,” Hawking assured her.

“Perfect.”

“If you have any trouble, hit the panic button or send me a text,” he reminded her.

“Go interview your guy. No one is going to try to get me again this morning.”

The look Hawking gave her sent a shiver down her spine. Maybe she shouldn’t be so comfortable at the reception desk.
