He’d expected the brunette to run away screaming, to go crying to her mommy at the evil beastly man she’d just seen. Instead, she’d simply looked at him like he was a man, and there was nothing else wrong with him, and he wasn’t going to deny he liked it. It was a nice feeling to be seen as a man. Even the club pussy who wanted to remain in the club, to be part of their world and be owned by one of them, treated him like a fucking monster.

Road should have known this was going to be his future. There was a time he’d been considered the sexiest man, if not the best man, to get information out of men and women. Not that he’d fucked men, but he knew how to get them to talk.

Then Sergey decided it was time for him to be … retired. He didn’t like how much information he got, and how easily he did it as well. When he became too dangerous, Sergey simply saw to it that he wasn’t useful anymore, and they had changed his face.

No woman ever looked at him like a man again.

They only ever saw the monster.

When he decided he needed to fuck, he forced the women to wear a bag over their heads so he didn’t have to see the disgust on their faces.

Fucking Sergey.

There was a time when he loved the teasing, the tormenting, the play of sex. Now, it was more of a need to unload his balls than anything else.

He took a long sip of his beer and waited. How long did it take four men to spunk? He was growing tired, and with a baby on the way, Brute didn’t allow visitors or strangers to remain on the grounds overnight. All of them had to leave.

The brothers were more than happy with that. Everyone preferred Brute to be happy. He was a lot easier to handle now that he had Faith and would soon have a child. He was still an asshole to them, but it was now bearable.

“Is that door you’re staring at some kind of alien?” Sarge asked.

“Fuck off.”

“You know, you make friends by being polite.”

“I’m not interested in making friends.” He wasn’t about to tell any of the guys there was a woman he was hunting. They would all laugh, and he wasn’t in the mood to beat the shit out of the boys.

They all had to be united and ready for the impending attack. Road knew one would come, but right now, Sergey was doing damage control. He knew Sergey, knew his moves, the pieces he put into place. After this, he would be desperate, but he also had to be prepared for him to use someone.

For a split-second, he couldn’t help but wonder if it was the curler woman. Was that what Sergey wanted? If he’d already shown her a picture of what he looked like, and given her time to get accustomed, then maybe she was here to try and infiltrate the clubhouse. It wouldn’t be the first time Sergey had tried it.

He was tired of waiting and the more he thought about that mystery woman, the more suspicious and pissed off he got. Getting to his feet, he heard Sarge saying something like, “Oh, shit,” but he didn’t give a fuck. He needed answers, and the only way to get them was to take them.

As if the boys had read his mind, they were coming through the door, complete with Raine in tow. He didn’t give them two seconds as he grabbed Raine around the throat and slammed her up against the wall. There were no innocent women. There were only innocent children, and even that was a push, as he knew children would do as their parents bid.

Raine panicked and attempted to claw at his arms.

“Road, what the fuck?” this from Stan.

“Your friend, the one who came to you tonight.”

“Dinah,” Raine said. “Her name’s Dinah.” Her voice wobbled as fear clawed at her. He saw it and relished it.

“Tell me where Dinah lives.”

“Dude, get Brute!”

“I know everything about Golubev. He will attack and I know his next strategy, so why don’t you let me do my job?”

“Dinah’s innocent,” Raine said.

He wanted to squeeze the life out of this woman, but he needed her to lead him to Dinah.

Without losing his grip, he pulled her off the wall and started to drag her through the clubhouse, out into the parking lot. He approached his car and Raine at this point was crying, begging for him to let her go. She wasn’t going anywhere.

Sergey thought he had the best of them, but he would learn that he wasn’t at the top of his game anymore.

Road’s scars may hinder his way of getting information easily, but that didn’t mean he was out of options. He still had his ways of getting what he wanted.
