Looping my arms around his neck, I kiss him. He groans and pulls back. “Office sex. That’s definitely an idea, but not the one I wanted to talk to you about.”

“Okay, what’s your idea?”

“We should get married.”

I wait for him to continue, and when he doesn’t, I start to freak out just a little. “Are we not married? I thought that was all official. Are you telling me that was a fake wedding, Lucas Blaze?”

He shakes his head. “No, fuck no. We’re married. I’m talking about doing it again. You should get the wedding of your dreams instead of me rushing you into something. You can plan it all exactly how you want it.”

I put my hands on his shoulders. “First of all, our wedding was perfect. I wouldn’t have changed a thing.”

He shakes his head like he’s going to argue, and I kiss him. His hand comes to my breast, and he squeezes. I pull back with a laugh. “Seriously, I don’t want a different wedding. Granny was at ours, and I wouldn’t want to do it again without her... I mean, I want to keep that memory intact, Lucas.”

He’s staring at me, and I’m beginning to wonder if I upset him. “I mean, if you really want to–”

With a somber expression on his face, he looks deeply into my eyes. “I am a lucky man, Mrs. Blaze. You continue to amaze me every day.”

I shrug my shoulders with a smirk. “It’s a gift. Plus, I’m not going to have time to plan a wedding.”

He pushes my hair off my face and holds it in his hand at my neck. “Oh yeah, you have big plans? Something I don’t know about?”

I bite my lip because it’s killing me. “Maybe,” I singsong to him.

When he realizes I’m serious, he sits up a little straighter. “What is it, Bella? What are you keeping from me?”

I grab on to his hand and put it to my belly. I’m holding my breath, waiting until he realizes what I’m telling him.

He stares at his hand at my midsection, and suddenly he gets it. His hand flexes protectively over me. “Are you... Are we–?”

With tears starting to roll down my face, I nod my head. “We’re pregnant. Please tell me you’re happy about this. I mean, you have to be, there’s no going back now. And you had to know it was going to happen; we haven’t used anything. But yeah... I’m pregnant. We’re pregnant. You’re going to be a dad.”

His mouth is hanging open, and I know I’ve shocked him.

Seconds go by, and I lean my head toward him. “Lucas? Seriously... tell me this is–”

He cuts me off. “Perfect. Amazing. Everything. This is everything, Bella. Yes, I’m so happy. So fuckin’ happy.”

He holds on to me, squeezing me against his chest. I rest my head on his shoulder and sink into his embrace. “I love you, Lucas.”

His voice is thick with emotion. “I love you too, baby. So much.”

I pull back enough to whisper in his ear, “So how about that office sex you mentioned? I mean, we really should celebrate. Don’t you think?”

He grabs the hem of my shirt and pulls it off me before letting it fall to the floor. “Definitely. We definitely need to celebrate.”

He stares at my belly. There’s no difference in it since this morning when he saw me before work, but he’s looking at it like he’s never seen it before.

I tip his chin up. His face is lit up. There’s no doubt he’s happy about this. “Kiss me, husband.”

And he does just that.
