“Nothing. You’re so sweet, but nothing. I just want to shower and get all the holding cell yuck off me, and then I want to go to bed.”

Bed. My body was ready to collapse. My mind, however, was racing a mile a minute. The sleep I craved wouldn’t come. I already knew that.

I headed to the lush bathroom in the suite.

Rock followed me. “I’m going to take care of you, whether you like it or not.”

I smiled weakly. “Really, I just want a shower.”

He bent down toward the jetted tub. “I think a bath would be more relaxing. Don’t you?”

A bath sounded heavenly, actually. I didn’t stop my husband from filling the tub with a bubbly wonderland. He peeled my clothes from me then, and though he groaned at the sight of my naked body, he didn’t try to coax me into lovemaking. Even though his cock was bulging inside his dress pants.

Rock was the most gorgeous of all his brothers, at least in my opinion. He was tanned and muscled, his dark hair cropped closely. When I’d first met him, his hair had been longer, touching his shoulders. Biker hair.

His most striking feature was his emerald green eyes—the only Wolfe sibling to have them.

God, the Wolfe family… All the Wolfes, including one we hadn’t known about until recently. Derek Wolfe had a first wife named Irene Lucent, which factored into all of this somehow, I was certain.

Rock entwined his fingers through mine as he led me to the tub. Steam rose from the woodsy-scented bubbled water.

And still my mind raced. Wolfes. Nothing but Wolfes and the situation we found ourselves in presently. Father Jim. Detective Morgan. Those were my two main suspects, and they both were clean as hell as far as we could tell. Would Morgan bring Jim in for questioning now that Zee had fingered him?

So far he hadn’t. Would he bring him in for what he did to Zee? There was no statute of limitations for kidnapping in the state of New York in most cases, but the statute had run out on the assault and battery.

In my mind, Jim had a huge motive. In Morgan’s mind, why would Jim off his meal ticket?

I didn’t know. But I’d find out.

“Lace?”

Rock’s low voice speared into my thoughts. I met his gaze.

“You’re a million miles away,” he said. “Come on. Get in the tub.”

I stepped into the luxurious warm water and lowered my body until I was covered up to my neck. Rock adjusted the inflated pillow under my head.

“Good?” he asked.

I nodded, closing my eyes. Yes, good. But these weren’t magic bubbles. They couldn’t calm my thoughts. Only my body.

“I’ll be in the bedroom if you need me.”

I shot my eyes open. “Don’t leave. Please.”

“All right. If that’s what you want.” He sat down on the covered toilet.

“That’s hardly comfortable. Join me. This tub is big enough for four people, at least.”

He smiled. “If I get into that tub with you, I can’t be responsible for what my body does.”

I returned his smile as best I could. Rock was…well…my rock. I needed his hard body next to mine. His presence could calm me more than any bubble bath ever could.

“I’m up for whatever you’re up for,” I said.

“If you’re sure.”

“Very.”

He disrobed, and I slid forward in the tub. He slid in behind me and pulled me against his hard muscled chest.

I closed my eyes once more. Already his cock was hard against the small of my back. Was it comfortable? Not really. Was it what I needed? Absolutely.

He slid his hands down my shoulders and over my bobbing breasts, tweaking one nipple.

Yes, this was what I needed.

He played with my nipples until they were ultra hard, and though my mind still whirled, my body responded, as always, to my husband’s deft touch. He played my body as if it were a Stradivarius, sliding gently across the strings and plucking when necessary.

“Tell me what you want, baby,” he whispered against my neck.

“You. Inside me.” I turned, splashing some of the water out of the tub, and lowered myself onto his hard cock.

“Fuck,” he growled.

Sheer completeness. Always complete, since the first time he’d shoved himself into me in my office during the reading of his father’s will. So out of character for me, but Rock planted a seed in me that day—a seed that had matured and morphed into a sexual creature I hadn’t known existed inside me.

I rode him slowly, letting the warm water glide over us as I took him inside me again and again. Finally, my mind rested, and my body took over, as I made love to my husband with deliberate movements. We hadn’t been together long, but we knew each other. We knew what the other needed. I needed slow right now, and he let me have my way, even though I knew he was roaring to grip my hips and piston into me like a jackhammer.
