“Damn kitten. I wanted to take my time and make it good for you, but you feel too good.” he grunts into my neck. His tongue slides up my sweaty skin, the feeling like a searing brand marking me. Another match is lit inside of me. “I need you to come with me, baby. We come together.” I feel it coming but I need something else and I don't know what. Then he pinches my clit and light flashes in my eyes as he growls out his release. I feel the warmth as it coats the inside of me, claiming my future. Is that crazy? “Ahhhhh shit!” he shouts out as his hand hits the headboard. I come with a cry and keen in his ear, holding on to his neck. Holy hell. I don’t think I will ever be the same.

My head is laying on his chest and my breathing is labored while I try to recover from the most amazing experience of my life. “How are you feeling?” His hands are stroking my back up and down lazily. My body is still sensitive from what just happened so his hands on my skin is like fire.

“Yeah. I’m fine. I just..I just didn’t expect for it to feel like that.” I am at a loss for words.

“Feel like what, kitten? Like it was meant to be? Like we are a part of each other.” I lift my head and put my chin on my hand looking up at him. Nodding, I try not portray how emotional all of this is, but I am losing that battle. With my head down on him once again, I try to change the subject.

“Tell me about you.” It doesn’t escape me how crazy this is. I married a man and lost my virginity to him and I literally know nothing about him other than his job, his house, his name and that I think I am falling for him.

“Yeah that would be a good idea huh.” he chuckles, tickling me a little making me giggle before he lifts me and sits me on his lap straddling him. I feel his cock between us, twitching and rubbing against me but I try to ignore it. “My family are founding members of this town. They invested in oil and diamonds. When the oil struck big, they resettled in Louisiana which is where I was raised. I spent my summers here with my cousins and my aunt and uncle.” My heart stops when he mentions he is wealthy. We couldn’t be any different. The doubt begins to creep in and now I am wondering what I am doing? “Stop that. Don’t let your mind do that, Winona.” Surely he can’t know what I am thinking?

“Do what?” I ask, trying to act as if everything is normal.

“Don’t let your mind tell you we are not meant for one another.” How does he do that? “Money means nothing, baby. It’s what is in here that matters.” His hand is over my heart. I want to believe him, but we have led such different lives. How can this work? “Tell me about you.” Crap. This is what I was dreading.

“Well, nothing to tell. My mom was a junkie. When I was eight and my older sister was eighteen and away at college, my mom left and never came back. I was home alone for five days, no food, no electricity, and phone. If it weren’t for the fact that it was Chrustamas break and my older sister Missy came home from school, who knows what would have happened to me.

My sister left school, moved back home and raised me. She gave up everything to take care of me. I grew up trusting no one but her. The one person who was supposed to take care of me didn’t. How can I trust anyone?” I end my sad song with a shoulder shrug. He lifts my chin and makes me look at him.

“I will never leave you or hurt you, kitten. My job from this moment forward is to protect you and to see to it you smile everyday.” And you know what, I believe him.

Chapter Seven

Raylan

Two Days Later

I rolled over this morning to find the bed empty beside me and I dnd’t fucking like it. Neither of us have left the house for the last two days, fucking like rabbits only coming up for air and food. Now it seems that it is over. Throwing on my sweats, I walk into the kitchen to find my wife dressed and drinking a cup of coffee. “Good morning.” She says, smiling at me over her cup of coffee. I walk in front of her and remove the cup from her hands. Placing it on the counter, I lift her from the floor and place her on the counter. “Raylan?” She says my name, her voice heavy but confused.
