“Come for me, Raven.”

She did, letting go. Feeling his touch. Relishing every second of it. She cried out his name, and Carlos pressed their bodies close together as she rode her wave of heat. He kept her there, and she didn’t want him to stop.

“I’ve got you, baby. I’ve got you,” he said.

When she couldn’t handle another moment, he released her body, and Raven slumped into his arms, her fingers still wrapped around his length.

She didn’t want to be the only one feeling this way, so she started to work his dick, moving her hand up and down.

His breath quickened, his body growing tighter.

She moved out of the way as he whispered the words that he was going to come. As he did, his cum spurted out, hitting the wall behind her, some of it soaking her hand.

With his release taking over, Raven felt herself come back to herself. Carlos wasn’t gone for long as he pulled a cloth out of his back pocket and used it on her hand, wiping away his release.

Raven couldn’t believe what she’d done, and what was more, she wasn’t even disgusted by it.

****

Carlos closed the door to his penthouse apartment and allowed Raven to wander off. After their moment in the alleyway, they’d enjoyed another hour on the dance floor, but she wouldn’t look at him. There was always a risk with taking their relationship to the next level that she would struggle.

He didn’t have a choice in speeding shit up. Sebastian had already told him that he had evidence of Paolo Fiore’s betrayal and would be back to show him soon. He couldn’t allow Raven to go back to Fort Clover.

All the hard work he’d done would be for nothing if she returned home.

After locking the door, he made his way toward the drinks table and poured himself a shot of whiskey.

Raven was fucking fire to him. She filled his soul and eased the void he felt in his heart. Carlos didn’t do love. Had never done love, but he was close to thinking that he cared about Raven.

He knew he wanted her. Attraction wasn’t a problem. Neither was his obsession with her.

Love wasn’t part of his world. He’d never understood it. Didn’t see the reason for it.

“Are you okay?” Raven asked, taking him by surprise.

She wore a robe, and her hair was still dry, which meant she hadn’t taken an emergency shower like he expected.

“Yeah, I’m fine. I should ask you the same questions.”

She chuckled. “I am more than fine.” She sank her teeth into her bottom lip. “Okay, so, I’m going to lay it all out there for you. I’m attracted to you. I want to fuck you. While I’m here in your life right now as your fake fiancée, I say we take whatever time we have and enjoy it.”

This was unexpected.

Carlos put his glass back down on the table and stepped toward her. “You want me to fuck you?” he asked.

“Isn’t that what you want?” She tilted her head to the side.

“I thought you’d run off. Pretend this didn’t happen.”

“Nope. I know what happened. I know I enjoyed it, and I want to do it again.” She reached out and pressed her palm against his chest. “If you don’t want to, and you prefer me to run, I can do that, but the moment I do, there’s no catching me, Carlos. I’ll go right back to the club, and you don’t belong there.”

It was on the tip of his tongue to tell her that she didn’t either, but instead, he grabbed the belt of her robe that kept her wrapped up tight. He wondered how far he’d be able to push her before she called his bluff. He tugged. She didn’t say anything.

Releasing the belt, he was surprised as she didn’t say a word.

The robe still covered her body, and this time, he grabbed both sides. Then he opened the robe, pushing it off her shoulders and letting it fall to the ground where it deserved to be.

He stared at her beauty, taken aback by how stunning she was.

His mouth watered.

In the places she had scars, he saw several patches of ink, from roses to butterflies, but she looked like a work of art.

Beautiful.

Sexy.

And he placed his hands on the curve of her hips, drawing her close to him.

Raven tilted her head back, looking at him.

“Touch me,” he said.

She was so small against him. Her hands touching his arms, then working up toward his shoulders before wrapping around the back of his neck.

“Kiss me,” she said.

He dropped his head down to her mouth and kissed her hard. He gripped her shapely ass and lifted her. Raven circled her legs around his waist, and he carried her through toward his bedroom.

Raven chuckled as he dropped her onto the edge of the bed, and he took a step back.
