He'd spent the past few months touring different cities and states, and I proudly went with him, never missing a show. Every time he sang, he somehow got even better. The crowd always responded, cheering loudly for him, though they could never match my enthusiasm. Though he was a little overwhelmed by the response at first, he was always grateful and grew to love it.

Lyric was sad to leave his job at the music shop, but his career change didn't keep him from enriching the lives of children. He founded and ran a workshop for kids interested in musical theater. He turned no one away, and nurtured their passion and abilities. The children adored him, and I was in constant awe of my wonderful man.

He inspired me to do great things as well. I partnered with Christos, and we were in the process of creating an after school program for children from broken homes. We planned to teach them boxing basics. While we were exposed to a dark side of a sport taken too far, we wanted to highlight its benefits. We hoped to instill confidence, as well as emotional and physical strength to those who needed it the most. We'd be using our pasts to help brighten the futures of others. I was excited to jump in once our schedule allowed.

Tonight was Lyric's closing show, back in our home city. The theater was packed, as usual, and also as usual, I had a large bouquet of flowers on my lap, which I would give to Lyric as soon as the show was over. The apartment we shared looked like a garden with all the bouquets I gave him. I loved spoiling my mate.

At the close of the show, this touring season would come to an end, and Lyric and I had plans to go house shopping. I had plenty of money saved up from my boxing career to buy him whatever home he chose, and we would have time before the next tour date to decorate and make it our own. I couldn't wait to have a place to put roots down, and to return to between shows.

“I'm so proud of him,” I replied to Christos. I was thrilled he was able to come; he'd been busy the past few months with scouting a location for our program, and spending time with his mate Daphne, who sat beside him, smiling at my lover on stage.

Shortly after we returned home from Olympus, the three of us visited Grecian Garden. I wanted to tell the staff about my retirement and travel, so they wouldn't worry when they didn't see me as much. At that visit, Maria told us her niece Daphne just moved from Greece and would be helping in the restaurant. When Daphne came out to meet us, Christos met his mate and instantly fell head over heels in love.

We often went on double dates, and Daphne was also helping Lyric learn to speak Greek. We all fit together perfectly.

Everything had been perfect since returning to Earth. Releasing me from an eternity of battle was the most fatherly thing Ares ever did. Whether it was a favor or a punishment didn't matter. That part of my story was over, but I'd remember it with a grateful heart. After all, it was my boxing career which led me to Lyric, and my father who granted our eternal life together.

I would cherish every moment of that eternity with my mate, loving his beautiful body and soul, making sweet music together, and writing our own lyrics.
