I stare him down and as a twisted grin cuts across my face, I give him a sultry wink. “You just can’t help yourself can you, big guy? You love a bit of rough hair pulling.”

Levi lets out a frustrated groan and forces himself to step away from the open car door before he does something stupid like fuck up our little deal. It’s been three days since Giovanni’s visit and our talk in the living room, and those three days haven’t been so bad. Sure, the guys have struggled to bite their tongues every now and then, but it’s not like I’ve been the perfect house guest either. I argue with them every chance I get but we’re all doing our best to make this work. There’s a learning curve. Maybe in a perfect world, I would be far away from a life like this one, but I understand why I need to be here. Until Giovanni isn’t a threat, this is my only safe place.

That doesn’t mean that I can’t have a little fun with it though. These guys have forced me into a life that I never wanted for myself, and if I can get under their skin just a little bit while I’m here, then I’m going for it. But I have to be careful. These aren’t just the regular assholes I’m used to dealing with at the club. They react differently, they’re quicker and have tempers worse than mine. If I push them too far, it could be game over.

Letting out a sigh, I scoot to the edge of the seat, narrowing my gaze on Levi. “How long are we talking? Is it like a quick in and out like Levi? Or are we talking all night like Marcus?”

Marcus laughs as I watch Levi take a few more steps away as he groans low, physically having to distance himself from me just to keep from bending me over and proving just how good he really is. Though he doesn’t have to. Both he and Marcus have been slipping into my room over the past few nights, and both of them have more than demonstrated just how skilled they really are. Roman though, he likes his distance, and after what happened to Felicity, I don’t blame him.

Roman’s jaw clenches, telling me that my fun is over. “Get your ass out of the Escalade NOW,” he demands, that all too familiar authority rising in his tone.

Giving him a hard stare but seeing absolutely no wavering in his gaze, I slip out of the Escalade with a huff. “I better not get killed in there because of you guys,” I mutter to their backs as they turn and start walking down a long alleyway that runs parallel to one of the many clubs in the heart of the city.

“The only thing that’s going to get you killed tonight is the way you keep running your mouth,” Marcus throws back at me.

My lips twist into a sneer and he glances back before I get a chance to wipe it from my face. Marcus smirks and pulls back a step, falling in line with me. “You’re going to be fine,” he says, keeping his voice low so that our conversation remains private. “Just sit still, don’t talk to anyone, and stay close. Though, if you wanted to go causing trouble,” he adds, his eyes sparkling with a sick excitement, “I wouldn’t mind tearing out a few throats.”

I give him a blank stare. “You’re sick, you know that, right?”

Marcus winks and leans in close. “Do you want to find out just how sick I can be?”

I pull back from him, unsure what he really means by that. Is he talking in the bedroom? Because I really don’t think I could push the limits any further with him. Hanging from chains and rubbing my clit with the handle of a knife is about as far as I think I can go.

Seeing my horrified expression, Marcus laughs and presses his hand to the small of my back. “You’ve got that knife I gave you?”

I shake my head and indicate down my body. “Do I look like I have anywhere to hide a knife on me right now?”

Marcus’ intrigued gaze scans over my body, following my subtle curves and lingering on my ass. “You sure as fuck do,” he murmurs. “You’d be horrified if you knew all the different places I’ve had to shove weapons over the years.”

My eyes widen as a sharp gasp tears from the back of my throat. “I’m not shoving a fucking knife up my ass.”

Roman and Levi stop up ahead and slowly turn to face me, their brows furrowed. “The fuck are you talking about?” Roman questions, his gaze narrowing as it shifts to his younger brother. “This is hardly the time to be talking about what you’re going to fuck her with.”
