“My brother has two partners, a wife and a Greg,” Darius added. “But they’re in a closed triad, I think they call it—”

“Darius!” Gray called from the other side of the bar. The fact that he had to raise his voice made me glance around to see that more people had poured in. The music was still low, and the spotlights weren’t flashing in seizure mode, so that was nice. We probably had another hour or two before they’d crank up the music a bit. All I knew was, there’d be no clubbing until after our TPE event, and by then, I planned on being upstairs. Lucian and I had booked a playroom with Rio.

Macklin and Gray opted to bring their cocktails over to us, and Gray looked to be in a much better mood.

He took a big sip of his drink before he pushed up the sleeves of his black Henley. It fit his body perfectly and looked like something Macklin often wore.

Gray linked his arm with Darius’s. “Hey baby, it’s possible I’ve discovered they have a sex swing in the house.”

I smirked.

Darius shook his head in amusement. “What is it with you and sex swings?”

“They’re fascinating!” Gray insisted. “Also, Macklin told me they feel really good.”

Macklin smiled cheekily on his way over to me.

“How helpful of Macklin,” Darius drawled.

“You’re welcome.” My boy sidled up next to me and draped an arm around my shoulders. “It’ll be even more comfortable for the Top.”

“Hear that?” Gray smooched Darius’s cheek.

I was starting to feel bad for the man, who clearly had no desire to discuss sex with Macklin and me around, but Darius was saved by the Tenleys arriving.

“Never thought I’d say this, but thank fuck—River and Reese are here,” Darius said.

They weren’t alone, I noticed. In the wide doorway to the lobby stood River, Reese, Shay, and two of our San Francisco guests. Cade and Nicholas. Wonderful, they’d made it.

Cade was the inked, rough-around-the-edges Daddy Dom, and Nick the more polished one. They must’ve gotten settled in the guest rooms already. They exchanged a few more chuckles and words with the twins before they parted ways. The Tenleys headed toward us, along with their boy, and Cade and Nick aimed for the seating area where Lucian was ready to greet them.

I’d get my turn soon.

“You’ve survived this far!” Reese grinned and slapped his hand to Darius’s. “Good to see you, my friend. Welcome to our corner of the world.”

River was next to shake Darius’s hand. “Still more intimidatin’ than Bogotá, innit?”

Darius let out his first laugh of the evening. “Ain’t that the truth. Good to see you too, guys. Walker had the right idea to get alcohol in me, so feel free to keep that up.”

I chuckled.

In the meantime, Reese had hugged Gray and introduced him to Shay.

“What happened in Bogotá?” Macklin asked.

“Wild vacation,” Reese cut in smoothly. “Who even remembers those days?”

That was my cue to remove Macklin and myself from their reunion. I doubted their trip to South America had been anything like a vacation, and I wasn’t sure my boy bought that either.

Besides, we had other friends to catch up with.

“Gray, Darius, it was very nice to meet you,” I said, sliding off my stool. “Don’t hesitate to give me a signal if the twins get out of hand.”

Darius chuckled. “I might actually take you up on that.”

“Aww, can’t we all have a drink together?” Gray suggested.

“Hopefully later—Master and I are gonna go say hi to a few friends from the West Coast,” Macklin replied. “You have my number, though. Sign up on our community site, okay?”

While the boys chatted, Reese came over to me and squeezed my arm. “Thanks for bein’ here, buddy.”

“Anytime,” I assured.

Some ten minutes later, Macklin and I had gotten a quick break in his cabin. He’d stripped down to black boxer briefs, and I had changed into my favorite jeans and a simple black tee. Then it was time to brave the winter again. This time, we were both barefoot and had no coats. But we just preferred to leave our belongings in the cabin.

“Final touch. I have the towel too.” He attached my go-to flogger to my belt while I replaced my phone and wallet with kinky essentials. Travel-sized items both for play and aftercare—oil, aloe, lube, couple Band-Aids, condoms in case anyone needed, medical shears—which were needed more often than one might think—and a handful of sweets. The latter were usually handed out to brats, but I never went anywhere without them. After play, it wasn’t unheard of that a sub’s blood sugar level dropped.

Then Macklin and I ran for it. Out of the cabin, down the icy little porch, up the snow-blanketed backyard, past the covered pool, up the main patio, where Macklin started chanting “ow, ow, ow, ow!” and back through the patio doors and into the club.
