The parking lot is empty, so I know I’m the first of my partners to arrive. This is a good thing as I need time to gather my thoughts before I no doubt will have to answer their tirade of questions and field their unwanted advice. Not that I blame them, however. If one of them told me they were getting married—well other than Locke, since he’s hopelessly in love with Storee—I’d be acting the same way.

Especially considering that Merrick, Soren, and I played together. Rarely do we fuck someone where one of us isn’t in the room and part of the action. The only time we really do any solo sex is during The Hunt. I loved the way their cocks look going into a wet pussy, or even when they fuck each other. I also crave having them watch me drive into a woman screaming my name.

My cock loves an audience.

I’ve never had sex with either of them, however, but I fucking love every part of watching and showing. It has been the three of us in many ways, and now I’ve casually announced I’m getting married.

What does that mean now?

I am bringing a woman into the mix.

Not just a woman. A wife.

I don’t make it more than three steps before the bartender who is setting up for tonight’s party calls my name.

“Mr. Frost, I sent your guest straight up to your office.”

My guest? My face drops as I stare her down.

“I’m not expecting any guests.”

She shrinks under my heat-filled glare. “She said she is your fiancée, sir? Showed me the ring, and I remember seeing her here at the club with Storee and you and…”

My fiancée, huh? My anger is replaced with a laugh that’s more like a scoff. Fiora has guts, I’ll give her that. Waltzing right into The Vault and the office I share with my three business partners without even waiting. Getting pissy about the “terrible” ring but flashing it whenever she needs it. Refusing to be tied to me but setting foot into my domain without considering the consequences.

She’s a spoiled brat who needs to learn a good lesson.

“Thank you, Ana.” I flash her a smile and watch her cheeks go red. “You can let her in without the fuss from now on.”

“Of course, sir. Have a great day.”

I continue toward the stairs leading to the office and step inside, shrugging off my trench coat and tie with a desperate need to shed from the corporate role back to the Heathens Hollow much more casual role I prefer. I’m halfway through undoing my cufflinks and rolling up my sleeves when I see Fiora seated on a cushioned chair on the far right side of the large room, already nursing a glass of red wine.

She keeps her eyes on me as I join her, the glass to her lips.

“My father says you’re looking into Mason’s murder,” she opens.

“I told him I would,” I retort and finish rolling up my sleeves.

She smiles dryly and sets the wine on the side table. “Feeling guilty? Trying to cover your steps? Or genuinely curious?”

I don’t answer, instead studying her. Today, she’s wearing a tight black dress that stops at her knees. The thin straps barely support her tits, the neckline dipping dangerously low. Her hair is thrown up into a messy bun, pieces of raven hair falling to her collarbones. A jeans jacket is thrown across the armrest of my leather sofa. I step closer. She’s as attractive as she is a pain in my ass. I’m just going to have to teach her who’s boss around here.

I smirk and put my thumbs in the pockets of my slacks. “Why are you here, Fiora? Ready to practice for the wedding night?”

Her face twists in displeasure. “I want to find out who killed my brother.”

“Don’t we all?”

“Where did you go today?” She rises from her chair. “Do you have any leads?”

“It doesn’t concern you,” I growl and take a step forward.

She doesn’t back down. “It’s my family, so of course it concerns me. If anything, it’s none of your business. I wouldn’t doubt if your family had something to do with it.”

Hearing her accusation only stokes my anger. I narrow my eyes, stalking even closer.

“You come into my business and throw around baseless accusations? Are you trying to play with fire?”

“I play with fire every day. I’m a Godwin. Adding another log to the flame means nothing to me. And this may be your business. But it sits on my land.”

Fuck me. I wish she didn’t know that.

“Why aren’t you in Seattle… shopping or getting your nails done?”

She flinches as if I slapped her. “Fuck you.”

“I told you to watch your mouth,” I remind her quietly, taking another step forward. There are only two steps between us now, and I relish the way her breath hitches at my proximity. “Do you know what happens to little girls like you when they push boundaries?”
