“Well don’t you look beautiful?” Mom says, handing me the bag. I can’t think right now. She looks like every fucker wet dream. “Son?” My mom tries to get my attention, but I can't take my eyes from her. All I want to do is bend her over the nearest surface and make sure I have enough of me on her.

“Are you ready babe?” She grabs her coat and that pulls me out of my trance. She never puts her coat on herself. “What’s for breakfast? That smells good.” She asks, kissing my mom on her cheek.

“Well sweet girl for you is whole wheat toast with avocado and tomato and a fried egg with no salt.” I nod giving my approval. “And for Jocobi a sliced steak, boiled eggs and a protein shake.”

“Thanks mom.” I kiss her myself and we walk out the door. My parents have been amazing, especially dealing with my brand of crazy. I mean I met a girl, basically moved her in within weeks and put a baby in her all before graduating high school.

Lately I have been studying pregnancy books like football plays. Every chance I get. I have memorized what she shouldn’t have and what she needs more of. Hell, I made a chart with her meals for 30 days to be sure she is getting everything she needs. Ripley thinks I am crazy and so does my sister, but I don’t give a shit. This is my woman and child and what use am I if it is not to protect them and make sure they have what they need?

We pull up to the school and get out of the car. Ever since she has begun showing, people stare a lot more, but with my consistent love and protection, she no longer cowers. “Did you finish everything, Angel?”

“Yep. Just drinking the orange juice right now.” Nodding my head, I place my hand on her stomach like I do whenever we are walking through the halls. The caveman in me can’t help it. It is like pissing on her in front of people, you know.

“Good.” Suddenly she stops and gasps before grabbing my hand.

“Look.” She places my hand on her stomach and at first I feel nothing then this little flutter hits my hand, and my entire world is rocked.

“Is that?” She nods, tears in her eyes. My breathing begins to pick up as excitement fills up inside of me. Everything in me is lit up right now and I can’t stop it from erupting. Like an asshole, I raise my hands and whoop so loudly everyone in the halls turn around. “I felt my kid kick!” I shout, sharing with everyone. My teammates all walk over and congratulate me, hitting me on the back and saying way to go. Instead of looking embarrassed, Ripley simply smirks and shakes her head before kissing me and heading into class with Heather. I sound like an ass, but that was better than a championship win. My heart is so full it is going to burst open. Now I just have to get her to nail down a wedding date.

Chapter Eleven

Ripley

Four Weeks Later

Six Months Pregnant

I am six months pregnant now and all of my clothes are beginning to get snug. I complained to Cobi the other night and he simply licked me to sleep, telling me nothing is sexier than my ripening belly and my clothes showing evidence of his conquest. I knew this would be his answer since he says it all the time.

I hear what he is saying and believe me, I love having our baby inside of me, but I like to be comfortable in my clothes. We are in the middle of winter now and having warm clothes that also don't fit correctly is not my idea of great. Plus, I need something to wear for his championship game tomorrow. It should have been last month, but they had to postpone on account of something happening to the other team in the championship. Something about a coach and a scandal.

Yeah you heard me. He is going to allow me to go to this one game, provided I sit with his family, don’t wear heels, and trust no one. What can I say, the man is a control freak and I love that about him but let’s be honest, my track record when I am not with him does not leave room for protest. I love his upper handed ways, his need to shelter me and wrap me in a blanket.

Last night we went out, our weekly date night date. We chose to go to a restaurant, this new Italian place that was just built. The valet had us pull up right next to a puddle of water since it rained that morning, but the cold was turning it to ice. I was fully prepared to slowly walk over it, but seeing as I had heels on, he refused to let me out of the car unless one of them either put their coats over the puddle or got me a wheelchair. When I asked him why he wouldn’t just carry me, he said, “These fucking shoes are not reliable enough to trust them to carry me while I carry you. Screw that. You are precious and so is our baby. Now which one of you is going to do something?” I hid my giggle behind my hand and shook my head. I love that man.
