"No," he says, his voice serious. "I'm a biker because I love the freedom of the open road. It's exhilarating."
"And dangerous," I add.
He nods. "Yes, it can be. But I'm careful."
"I bet," I say.
"It's not for everyone," Preacher says. "But it works for me."
I want to believe him. I really do. But I've been burned before. I'm not sure I can trust my heart to someone who might turn out to be just like all the others.
Only time will reveal if that’s really him or the mask he wears for the world or for tough chicks like me.
I sure hope it’s the former and not the latter.
Chapter Twenty
Preacher
The bathroom is full of steam, and my muscles are loose and relaxed as I step from the shower, feeling good and well-rested despite the insatiable woman still lounging in my bed. After drying off, I step out of the bathroom and find Gia relaxing on her elbows, tits staring at me with deliciously hard nipples, legs open just enough for the light to catch the glistening between her thighs.
“Hey, hot stuff.” She purrs the words, a sultry smile on her face as she licks her lips. Her eyes take in every inch of me, making my cock grow behind the towel.
“Nope,” I shake my head. “Time for Church, and I can’t be late.” I’m never late for Church, not ever, and definitely not now when there’s so much going on. “Put some clothes on.”
Gia lets her head fall back with a laugh, a move that makes her tits jiggle, enticing me over to where she lay on the bed. “That’s pretty fucking rude.”
I stare down at her naked body. Every breath she takes makes her tits dance, and the scent of sex wafts up to my nose. “I have to go.”
The fucking tease lets her legs fall open, and she languidly pushes up from her elbows to her hands. “Who’s stopping you?” She knows exactly what she’s doing and loves every minute of it.
So am I, but I don’t have time to do anything about it. Except tease her right back.
“You,” I tell her and drop to my knees. “This,” I growl and bury my face between her legs, lapping up her juices, fucking her with my tongue, and sucking her clit.
“Oh, fuck yes,” she pants and bucks up against my mouth.
I smile and pull back, standing to let my towel fall to the floor so Gia can see just what’s done to me.
“What the fuck, Preacher?” Her eyes widen at the sight of my erection jutting out, thick and throbbing and angry as hell that we’re not going to do anything about it.
“Sorry, gotta go to the clubhouse.” I smile at Gia, and her gaze narrows in my direction. “Stay here, Gia. Don’t go anywhere.”
She rolls her eyes and lets out a frustrated sigh.
“I’m not going anywhere,” she assures me and buries one hand between her thighs. “Someone is leaving me all hot and bothered, which means I have to take care of myself. Like always.”
Her eyes flutter shut, and one finger slips inside her slick heat, then another.
I turn away and get dressed, seeking all the strength and willpower I can muster to ignore the sensual sounds coming from her mouth, the sound of her fingers plunging into her wet cunt. Before I know it, I’m fully dressed and locking the door behind me as I make my way to Church.
I’m the last one to arrive, and everyone looks at me like they know what I’ve been up to. I shrug it off and take my seat around the table with a sigh. “What’s going on?”
Ace smirks, but he quickly covers it with a serious expression.
“Too fucking much. We need to deal with Braden. Now.”
Shades nods his agreement. “Let’s kill the fucker. That’s my vote.”
Coop smacks a palm on the table. “I second that vote. Fuck him,” he spits the words out. “And don’t tell me you disagree, Ace.”
Ace sighs, a sure sign he’s not on board with that plan. “I would love nothing more than to put a fucking bullet in his head myself, but it will create more problems than it will solve.”
“He’ll be dead, six feet under, fish food. Problem solved,” Shades says, and Coop nods beside him.
Dix is still gone, out of reach, so he gets no input, which we could all really use right now. I sigh, knowing that I’m going to have to be the voice of reason. Again.
“I don’t know,” Wild Man says, his voice slow and hesitant. “Killing him is what he deserves, without a doubt, but now we have him. We own his ass. Right?”
I nod, ready to give my input. “We do,” I tell Wild Man and turn my gaze to the rest of my brothers around the table. “Let’s get the church up and running again, this time fully under our control with Letty handling all the finances and Wild Man with backdoor access, so we’re never surprised like this again.”
