He had no idea what the fuck he meant.

“In case there’s anything too kinky on there?” Dev’s brow furrowed. “I hope not. But you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to.”

Ewan let out a breathless chuckle, because that should be his line. Who was the virgin here, anyway? “Yeah, of course.”

“Go on, then.” Dev nodded to the list.

Ewan unfolded it carefully. The paper stuck to his sweaty fingers.

Dev’s handwriting was small, slightly spiky, and perfectly formed. Much like him. The title was underlined and the items were bullet-pointed. Ewan was surprised there weren’t checkboxes so they could tick things off as they went.

As Ewan read down the list. His cheeks got hot and his dick got hard.

Sex Things to Try

Kissing

Hand jobs

Frottage

Blow jobs (giving)

Blow jobs (receiving)

Fingering

Rimming (giving)

Rimming (receiving)

Topping

Bottoming

“So?”

Dev’s voice brought Ewan back from a detailed fantasy where he was doing all those things with Dev in a mental slideshow of bare flesh, jizz, and lube. He blinked several times as he became aware of his surroundings again.

Dev’s cheeks were flushed but his expression was serious. “I think I’ve got all the basics there, but if there’s anything on the list you’re not into, that’s fine.”

“No, no… this is all okay with me.”

It was more than okay. Ewan hadn’t actually tried rimming—either way around—before. His ex hadn’t been into the idea of it, and doing it with some random person from a hook-up app hadn’t appealed. He thought about mentioning his lack of experience in that area to Dev but decided against it. He was sure he could wing it, and he didn’t want Dev to lose confidence in his abilities. “But how do you know if it’s going to be okay with you? I mean… if you haven’t done any of this stuff before?”

Dev shrugged. “I want to try it—then I’ll know what I like. At the moment I don’t even know if I’m a top, a bottom, or vers—or none of the above. Not all gay guys even like anal, but I won’t know until I try.”

His logic was flawless. Ewan shifted in his seat, hoping his gigantic boner wasn’t too obvious. He glanced down at Dev’s lap, but the creasing of his rather baggy jeans gave nothing away. “Okay, then,” Ewan said lamely. “It all looks good to me.”

Dev cleared his throat. “Now, about safety. I think we should both get tested. I’m a virgin, so it’s highly unlikely I’d test positive for any STDs, but I don’t think it’s fair of me to expect you to take my word for it. So I suggest we both make an appointment to get tested this week. And then I’d like us to be exclusive as long as this arrangement continues. Would that be okay with you?”

“Um, yeah. But, I—” Ewan was scrambling to keep up with Dev’s rapid-fire speech. He was adorably intense when he talked like this. The little furrow in his brow and the way he moved his hands made it hard to focus on the words.

“Not that I want to bareback…,” Dev went on. “That would still be too risky without waiting for three months and testing again, but for oral I did some research, and the risk of HIV transmission is pretty low. So if we both test negative for everything, then I’d like to have unprotected oral if that’s okay with you, so long as you’re happy to be monogamous while we’re working through the list?”

“Sure.” Ewan didn’t trust himself to say anything else at that point. Dev had it all figured out. Ewan got tested regularly, anyway. He was sensible like that, but if he was starting something new with Dev, it was only fair for Dev to see the proof that it was safe.

“So, I could make appointments for both of us if you like?”

Ewan nodded.

Dev got out his phone and entered something into his reminders. “Can I take your number? Then I’ll text you the date and time. They do evening appointments. Is there any day you can’t do?”

“No.” Ewan reeled off his number, and Dev added that to his phone too.

“Okay, then.” Dev put his phone back in his pocket and adjusted his glasses. He pulled Ewan’s work across the desk so he could see it properly. “Let’s take a look at this assignment.”

His brain still catching up with the gear change, Ewan tried to get his mind away from rimming and back to statistics.

The next two hours passed in an agony of sexual tension—for Ewan, at least. Dev seemed remarkably composed as he picked through Ewan’s work, finding and correcting errors and explaining what Ewan had done wrong. He was a good teacher. Despite obviously being light years ahead of Ewan in mathematical ability, Dev had the surprising knack of being able to explain things in a way that made sense.
