He thrust harder, faster, jerked with even more perfect skill. I couldn’t hold myself back. Pleasure exploded behind my eyes, tingles shooting down my spine as I orgasmed, spurt after spurt in his hand and on his bed.

“Me too…” Brax called out, his dick jerking inside me as he filled the condom with his release.

I fell into my cum and didn’t even care. “That was… I can’t speak. Later.”

He chuckled. “Go to sleep.”

I closed my eyes. The bed dipped, and even though I was already slipping, I knew Brax had left. I wanted to tell him to come back, but I didn’t need to. He did. He climbed back in, likely after getting rid of the condom. He pulled the blankets over us, tugged me into his arms, and right before I lost myself to sleep, I was pretty sure I felt his lips press a kiss to my shoulder.

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

Braxton

Ty was a restless sleeper, which didn’t surprise me at all. His body was a little like his mouth and never stopped going. Luckily, I was used to not getting peaceful rest, so I still managed to pass the fuck out.

After screwing Ty.

Which I so knew would happen one day but was still kinda angry with myself for doing. We were getting way too cozy, like right now, after I’d woken up again and he was all tucked in my arms, the two of us snug like two bugs in a rug or whatever that really weird saying was. People said the craziest shit.

It was about eleven when I said, “Hey, wiggle worm. Wake your ass up,” because I knew he had to work this afternoon.

“No,” he mumbled in a half-asleep, slurred voice I would not let myself call cute even though it was.

“You have to work today.”

“Adulting sucks.”

“I’ve been doing it since I was five. I think you can handle it at twenty-one.” His eyes fluttered open, his blue gaze snagging on me all soft and caring. “Oh my God. Stop looking at me like that.”

“Like what?”

“Like you want to say something nice to me.”

“Why? I’m pretty sure we do nice now—at least sometimes. Me hanging out with you is nice. Me giving you my ass is nice. Me posting a photo last night so you knew where to find me was nice. Me sleeping over was nice.”

My chest was light and airy in this way he brought out in me. “You did all that stuff for me, huh? None of it was for yourself? You were just blessing me with your presence?”

“You don’t do nice to me, remember? But I never said that. I’m like…I don’t know, someone who’s really fucking considerate. Captain of the nice police…King Niceington of Nicetown. Nice—”

I shut him up with my mouth. It wasn’t that I wanted to kiss him. He just wouldn’t stop blabbing, and it was the only course of action I could take.

Ty twisted to his back, taking me with him. I settled on top, slowly thrusting my groin against his while tasting every millimeter of his mouth. When I pulled back, he smiled at me, and my pulse started doing this foreign dance beneath my skin. “What?”

“You like kissing me.”

“I like shutting you up.”

“By kissing me, but geez, stop distracting me. I’m trying to be an adult here. I need to get up because I have to work today.”

This fucking guy. I rolled off him and watched as Ty got out of my bed. He rummaged around for his clothes, and I couldn’t pretend I wasn’t enjoying the view. He was all hard, his ass tight, and my dick perked up at the memory of what it was like to be inside him. When he grinned, I knew he’d realized I was watching him, but he didn’t call me on it. Instead, he faced me and stretched.

“Oh my God.”

“What? Just being nice.”

Not this again. I sat up on the side of the mattress when Ty went into my bathroom, sand falling out of his clothes. He cleaned up and got dressed. Once he had his shoes on, he said, “Thanks again for last night.”

“No problem.” Hello, awkwardness. We just chilled there like neither of us knew what to do. “You don’t have a ride.”

“There’s an app for that.” I crossed my arms, and he added, “Shit. I should pay you back for taking a car here last night…or at least so you can go get your bike today.” He pulled out his wallet.

“What? No. Fuck that.” It felt like charity. I didn’t think he would do the same if I were one of his friends.

“Stubborn,” Ty said before leaning in and pressing a quick kiss to my lips. “I’ll see myself out and will call you later.”

He slipped out of my room without another word. I sat there long after he’d left and wondered if he realized how boyfriend-y that kiss goodbye was or if it was just me.
