I squirm in his arms. “Can I explore some more, Daddy?”
He lets me slide down to the floor. “Of course.” He tips my chin back. “You need to stay where I can see you at all times. That’s one of the reasons there’s a playpen. Little girls aren’t left unattended here.”
“Even in the bathroom?” I blurt out.
He narrows his gaze. “Especially the bathroom, Little bunny. You can’t even open the door to a bathroom anywhere on the island. Daddy will take you into the bathroom when it’s bath time or to brush your teeth. If we’re out at a park or shopping, I’ll take you to a changing station when you need a new diaper.”
I blink at him. I hadn’t realized how strict the diaper rule was. Apparently very strict. I’m not sure how I feel about that rule.
“You’ll get used to it, Little bunny.” He pats my bottom. “I’ll sit in the rocking chair while you explore. It’s almost time for you to have a bottle though.”
I wander around the room, feeling so out of sorts. It’s surreal. The entire island. The most disconcerting part of all is that I’m not in a panic. I should be, shouldn’t I? After all, I’ve just essentially moved in with a man who informed me I can’t ever go to the bathroom alone.
And the dominance would be soaking my panties if I were wearing any. Maybe since I’m not, he won’t notice as easily how aroused I am every time he lays down a new law.
It’s irrational. Each time he adds to the list of rules, I get hornier. I don’t know if it’s because I’m really attracted to this lifestyle, if it’s the tone of voice he uses to set boundaries, or if it’s him. It might be all three.
I look through the books and then the toys and then the dolls. It’s like a Little’s slice of heaven in here. When I see a book that interests me, I snag it and spin around, hopeful he’ll let me read it.
He chuckles. “I should have known you would go for the books first.”
“Can I read this one after my bottle, Daddy?”
“Of course.” He stands and takes my hand. “Let’s go get that bottle. We can sit outside for a while if you’d like.”
When we get to the kitchen, I wander to the sliding glass door that leads out to the backyard. It’s so pretty with mature trees, well-groomed shrubs, and colorful flowers. There’s a porch too with a roof to protect it from the sun and two comfy-looking hanging swings.
“Those swings look like the perfect place to read, don’t they?” Daddy asks.
“Yes. Can we go out there now?”
“Let’s get the bottle in you first, Little bunny. Then we’ll go outside for a while. That’s another strict rule. Don’t open doors without Daddy. No going out the front or the back.”
“Yes, Sir.” I let my voice sound defeated, but my body sparks again at yet another rule. Is it always going to be this way? I should be stressed by the number of rules he has. Instead, I’m the opposite. The thought of letting him dictate everything I do and don’t do is making my body hum. I didn’t know this about myself.
Daddy sits in a large recliner and lifts me into his lap. He sets my book on the end table, leans me back on his arm, and pops the nipple into my mouth. I wrap my fingers around his wrist and hold on to him while he feeds me. This is much nicer than feeding myself. Plus, he can rock me at the same time. It’s so intimate.
I hold his gaze for the entire time. He holds mine too. He looks pleased.
A strange contentedness settles over me. Maybe this isn’t a mistake at all. Maybe I will enjoy this lifestyle.
Chapter Eleven
By the third day on the island, I’m feeling like a million bucks from the formula and the sleep. I haven’t had a single nightmare since I arrived. I haven’t felt that same restless unease either.
Part of it might be from knowing Daddy is always nearby. No one can hurt me while he’s around. Even when he puts me in my crib for naps and at night, there’s a baby monitor on me at all times. He can easily see and hear me. When I awake or get restless, he’s at my side immediately.
I don’t wander the streets alone, so no one can mug me. Plus, there’s no muggers here. The crime rate is unbelievably low. Everyone who comes to the island is well vetted, and if they do something to prove they don’t deserve the opportunity to live here, they are banished.
I’ve acclimated well. Daddy does darn near everything. I’ve played and adjusted and learned all the rules. Today we are going to Littleworld. We’re going to the water park. And the best part is that Briana is coming. I haven’t seen her since she moved here with her two Daddies. I can’t wait. I’ve been skipping around Daddy all morning in anticipation.
