“I’ll teach you how to make omelets,” I tell him. “There’s a trick to turning them. I’m fucking amazing at it.”

An unexpected frown curls the edges of his mouth. “I was trying to do something nice for you. You’re always doing something nice for me.”

I wave him off. “I’m not always doing something nice for you. Plus, I like to show off my expertise.”

“Why should you get to show off your expertise when I don’t get to show off mine?”

Ah, back to sex. “You’re giving me a complex, ya know? I’m beginning to feel like there’s something wrong with me. A healthy, single man shouldn’t turn down sex as much as I do.”

“I can get you some Cialis if you need it.”

I roll my eyes. “Getting and staying hard isn’t a problem for me. I can promise you that.” It’s a big fucking mistake but I grab his hand again, this time pushing it down against my cock. There’s no chance I wasn’t going to be hard as a rock with him walking around in nothing but underwear and a shirt.

“Jesus, I want it,” he says as he rubs his palm against my dick. My whole body buzzes with need because I fucking want it too.

I let go of his hand. “We’re making omelets.”

“You’re getting bossy again. I already told you I don’t take orders unless it’s in bed. I don’t think I want to make you breakfast anymore.”

“Yes, but I want you to. Get the eggs out,” I tell him before I slap him on the ass.

“Ugh. Fine. But only because you’re hot.”

Derek gets the eggs out again. We crack three in a bowl and then I salt and pepper them before he beats them.

There’s cooking spray by the stove so I use it on the pan before getting it hot. “Pour them in,” I tell him.

Derek does it.

“Now watch the master work. You have to keep a close eye on them. There’s a small window of opportunity when they’re perfect to flip.” With the spatula, I keep the edges from sticking. Once they’re perfect, I tilt the skillet, watch the eggs slide around, and then flip them so they land perfectly on the other side.

“I hate you,” Derek says, before crossing his arms and pouting.

“No you don’t. You like me.” I don’t let myself overthink it, don’t stress and worry about making the wrong choice. I just grab his shirt and pull him closer to take what I want. It’s been so fucking long since I’ve been able to have whatever I want. Right now, I want his mouth.

I slip my tongue past his lips and swallow his surprised squeak, and then just that quickly he’s kissing me back and moaning into my mouth.

I suck his lip and then his tongue, and I want nothing more than to let my finger run down his crack and tease the hole I want to experience so damn bad.

I want to feel him around my cock and see how tight and pink he is. Want to know what it’s like to spread his cheeks and have a man for the first time.

To have Derek for the first time.

He moans again and grabs my sides and rubs his firm little body against mine.

Just as I’m about to give into him, a burning smell reaches my nose. I think we realize it at the same time because we both jerk back from each other.

Plumes of smoke lift off the pan. “Fuck,” I groan and jerk it back.

Derek just stares at me and grins. “Guess you’re not the omelet master, after all.” He turns off the stove and then walks away, shaking his ass because he knows I’m watching.

Derek

Hayden sits in my salon chair as I trim his bangs. Bits of his hair fall onto the black cape covering his body.

“Are you free on Saturday?” he asks. “I was gonna get the gang to go to this festival over at the park. It starts at like three.”

“I have a thing then.”

“What?”

That’s when I’m supposed to teach tango to some of the residents at Uncle Randy’s assisted living facility.

“Just some dumb thing I signed up for,” I tell him before noticing—“Oh, I think I see a gray.”

“What?” His eyes widen behind his glasses.

“It’s one gray, relax, I didn’t say your head’s fucking covered in them. Besides, I think the daddy look would suit you very well. Cody’s gonna be a lucky man in thirty years.”

I know the only reason I’m saying that is because I can’t get my Daddy Jackson out of my head. Haven’t been able to since that kiss we shared.

“I think you’ve cornered the daddy market,” Hayden says.

“Puh-lease. You have no idea how competitive the market is. And there’s new meat on the prowl already. You remember that Evan kid who stole Gary’s man?”
