Sky didn’t reply right away. He stared at me like he was waiting for me to crack and admit to my dick having a heartbeat of its own since he sat beside me. When I didn’t flinch, he smiled gently and leaned forward. “Who is it about?”
“I overheard my roommate and his new…dude…doin’ it.”
“Doing what?”
“It,” I said sharply.
“Okay. But what exactly did you hear?”
“Everything. Squeaky bedsprings, a thumping noise, and sex grunts. Like ‘oh, yeah,’ ‘right there.’ That kinda thing.”
“They were fucking,” he deadpanned.
“That’s what I said!” I pushed my hand through my hair in agitation. “I don’t have a problem with it at all, but…”
“Obviously you do. Are you jealous?”
“Why would I be jealous?”
“Because you have a secret crush on your roommate,” he offered with a shrug.
My “What the fuck?” expression must have registered loud and clear, because he raised his hands in surrender a moment later and busted up laughing.
“First of all, no fucking way. Elliot and I are best friends. I’m not attracted to him, and I’m definitely not jealous. I’m freaking out because I can’t stop thinking about…”
“About what?” he prodded gently.
I caught myself before I said “you.” Phew. I fixated on a palm tree swaying in the breeze outside for a second, then let out a nervous half laugh. “No. It’s nothing. Never mind. Sorry. Let’s get back to McGregor’s file. This is a family-owned business. They have storage facilities up and down the coa—”
“Not so fast.” Sky set his hand on my elbow and waited for me to face him before continuing, “You can ask me anything, but what are you freaked out about?”
“I don’t know, I just…have questions.”
“Keep going…” He made a circular motion with his hands, wordlessly telling me to spit it out.
“How does it work? Who does what? How does it feel? You know…sex questions,” I whisper-hissed.
“You need to get on the internet. Google ‘gay sex.’ ”
I pushed my computer aside protectively. “No way.”
“Relax. Sex is fun. Don’t let it scare you. Can I just say…Sex-Ed day one? I think I’m gonna like this place.” Sky pulled his cell from his pocket and set it on the desk. “The doctor is in. Ask a question, any question. Wait. You already did. How do you do it? Simple. Dick in ass. That’s it.”
“Thanks, I know what anal sex is.”
“Good. It sounds like you heard your roommate fucking his boyfriend or vice versa. No cause for alarm. People do it all the damn time and I assure you, with the right partner, it feels fucking amazing.”
“So, you’ve…um”—I narrowed my eyes and scratched my stubbled jaw—“done that?”
Sky cocked his head and gave me one of those slow-growing, wicked grins that should have bugged the hell out of me. But all I could think was, I want to kiss him again.
“Yeah, I’ve done that. A lot. But not much recently. I’m going through a dry spell.”
I gulped. “Um…that’s—me too. I haven’t done the gay stuff, but—”
“But you want to,” he said matter-of-factly.
Suddenly, almost all the blood in my body was now in my dick. I’d never been so hard or horny and so completely out of my element at the same time. Ever. I liked the way he smelled and smiled and the feel of his body close to mine.
“You wish,” I huffed like a lame-ass.
Sky smiled. Then he rolled his chair away a few inches and leaned back. “Listen, if you really just want to know how to talk to your friend, my advice is…don’t act any different. If your brain is working too hard to figure out the mechanics of what he might be doing behind a closed door, that’s on you.”
“What do you mean?”
“It’s private. If he wanted you to see, he would have left the door open. Or fucked him on the sofa. I’ve done that before.”
“You have?”
“Yeah. Our roommate walked in on Max and me and…it wasn’t my finest moment.” Sky waved dismissively. “Look, if you have the kind of friendship where you can ask personal questions without getting fidgety and weird, do it. If not, do a little research on your own. Look it up.”
“Huh? Look up what?”
“Gay sex.”
I held both hands up like a traffic guard. “Whoa. I’m not doin’ that.”
Sky chuckled as he reached for his cell. He typed something, then handed it over to me. “Press Enter. The Google entry is pretty tame. Just two guys kissing or lying in bed. Not porn.”
“No way.”
“Oh, please. You kissed me in the parking lot last week. Don’t tell me you didn’t jerk off when you heard your roommate boning his friend. I wasn’t even there, and I think it’s hot. I would have jerked off for sure.”
“Shut up, Jameson,” I growled, pushing his phone toward him.
“If you didn’t want to talk about it, you wouldn’t have brought it up. Be honest. You’ve probably been thinking about this for months, and now everything is coming at you in stereo. Your roommate, me…it’s only natural you’d be a little curious.”
