I leaned over and wrapped my arms around his neck. Jessie leaned down and softly kissed me. “You need rest.”

I sleepily nodded my head, my body coming down from the high it’d been on. Exhaustion weighed down my muscles. He kissed me again. “Let Lincoln take care of you. I’m taking the first watch.”

“Come to bed soon?” I asked him.

He smiled at me. “As soon as possible,” he assured me.

I nodded at him before I looked up at Lincoln. “Shower?” I asked. I couldn’t sleep with his cum between my thighs like this.

He laughed softly and gripped my ass in his hands before he stood up from the bed. “Shower and then bed. You’ve had a long fucking day.”

He wasn’t wrong about that.

“What if Jay shows up while we’re here?” I asked him as he stepped into the tiny bathroom in the garage.

Lincoln grunted. “Then Jessie and I will deal with him,” he told me, as if it was as simple as that. “He’s not your problem anymore, West.”

I frowned at him. “Lincoln, Jay will always be my problem.”

Lincoln set me on the tiny countertop before he reached up to cup my face in his hands. “Not anymore. We’re here now, babe. You’re not alone—not anymore, not ever again. Jessie and I are here to take care of you, and that includes taking care of the monsters in your life.”

I cupped his face with my own hands. “Why are you so amazing?”

Lincoln laughed softly. He pecked my lips before he stepped back from me to turn on the small corner shower. “Not amazing, babe,” he retorted. “I just want to be everything you need, so I’m trying to do that.”

I sighed. “Lincoln, I just need you to be yourself.”

He shot me a sexy grin over his shoulder that had my belly clenching, heat flooding my body. “With you, babe, this is me,” he told me. He lifted me off the countertop and carried me into the warm shower. I sighed in contentment. “Now, let’s get you bathed so you can go to sleep. How many times did you come? Eight, nine?” he teased.

I laughed. “I lost count,” I admitted.

He growled playfully before he pressed my back against the cool tile of the shower wall. “Let’s see if you can keep count this time.”

I moaned as he slid inside of me.

Jessie

Watching West come apart like that was a fucking beautiful sight to behold and witness.

I knew she needed Lincoln, too. I hadn’t ever been blind to that fact, especially not when she laid her eyes on him again after six damn years. There’d been so much longing in her eyes for him.

Once she stopped fighting everything between them, she had looked so content.

And I was content knowing that she had what she needed. While I couldn’t be around, she had Lincoln to lean on. Especially since I now knew she was diagnosed with bipolar depression. West had a damn bad habit of hiding how she was feeling and letting everything get to her in the long run.

Now? She had not just me but also Lincoln to lean on and vent to when she needed it.

She wouldn’t ever be alone—not anymore, not with us standing by her side.

Lincoln opened the garage office door and leaned against the door jamb with his arms crossed over his chest. He was shirtless and only had on a pair of gray sweatpants and a pair of socks on his feet. It had only been about three hours since I’d come out here.

“She’s asking for you,” he told me quietly.

My eyebrows pulled together in confusion as I moved toward the office and brushed past him, moving toward the pullout bed. I kneeled beside the bed, and she opened her pretty green eyes, locking them on my face. “Hey, baby girl,” I softly greeted. Reaching out, I ran my fingers over her cheek. “What’s wrong?”

She shook her head. “I had a nightmare,” she whispered, her voice tinged with sleepiness. “I just wanted to see you,” she mumbled as she let her eyes fall closed again. I frowned. If she wanted to see me after having a nightmare, I had no doubt I’d been in it. My chest ached for her.

I leaned forward and brushed my lips with hers. “Sleep, baby,” I whispered against her lips.

She let a tiny smile cross her lips. I stood up and nodded once at Lincoln. “Couple more hours, then we’ll switch out,” I told him.

“Alright,” he grunted. He laid back down on the pullout bed and pulled West into his arms. She snuggled closer to him and rested her head on his chest, her breathing quickly becoming even again.

I walked back out into the garage to go piddle around some more, the ache for her in my chest easing after seeing Lincoln cuddle her. She wasn’t alone.
