That had him making a face, but since it seemed to be a half-hearted protest, I ignored it and smiled wider. “I bet you have cute jammies and a binkie hiding here somewhere.”

Talk of looking cute had him perking up and I was dragged back over to the closet where he plopped us both down on the floor. I was back to trying not to laugh as he started digging through a basket at the bottom of the closet, and I decided right then that if we were still together at Christmas, he would be getting a closet organizer system.

More bunnies.

They were the cutest pajamas I’d ever seen and they even came with bunny ears. I wasn’t sure if they’d come as a set or not, but the long-sleeved two-piece pajama set was white and covered with pink bunnies and he even had a headband with matching ears.

As he shoved it all in my lap, leaving the box a mess, he gave me an excited grin. “See?”

“I do see.” And he was going to be so cute…but first I had to be the supreme Daddy and change his clothes again. I managed to get it done without lingering on anything inappropriate, mostly because he was lightning fast and just wanted to be a bunny without worrying about anything else.

When he was dressed, ears and all, and I was feeling like the best man in the entire world, he went spelunking back in the closet again, this time coming out with a binkie.

Yep, we were organizing this mess.

“There it is.” With the binkie popped in his mouth, he started sucking and it was like an immediate drain on his internal battery. It seemed like the excitement of getting dressed and becoming the sweetest bunny in the world was too much for my exhausted boy.

Standing up, I took his hands and pretended to groan as I pulled him up. His soft giggles had me smiling, but when he pushed against my chest, silently demanding cuddles, I melted. “Should we go find a movie?”

What rabbit movies were there?

Bugs Bunny?

Peter Rabbit?

Roger Rabbit was out of the question. I wasn’t watching sexualized cartoon animals with a little…but what else was there?

Ian nodded against my chest, then reached down and took my hand again…and we were off.

Eventually, he was going to get too tired to run everywhere, right?

Chapter 15

Ian

I was not alone.

Oh, fuck.

I remembered why I wasn’t alone.

Bishop.

For a second, I hoped that my mental drama had stayed undetected as he’d climbed back in the bed, probably coming back from the bathroom, but the way the bed started bouncing as he silently laughed said otherwise.

All I could do was sigh.

That just had his booming laughter filling the room. When he finally settled down into soft giggles, he poked my side. “Ian?”

“Yes, Bishop?” I figured I might as well let him know I remembered who he was.

“What color are you?” That question brought out another sigh as I had a vague memory of a very tired little me saying green, green, green over and over and pouting because he kept telling me we shouldn’t have a sleepover.

My dramatic response had him snickering and poking me again until I finally gave in. “Green. Embarrassed but green.”

That should be its own specific color.

“Don’t be embarrassed. I thought you were cute. You’re a very demanding little.” The barely suppressed laughter in his voice said he didn’t mind, which was good and made me feel less ridiculous. “But just in case you were too tired to remember, I was a very well-behaved Daddy and I stayed on my side of the bed.”

Groaning, I nodded. “Thank you.”

What was I supposed to say in this situation? I’d never had a Daddy sleepover before. Hell, the last few guys who’d come close to earning that title had been borrowed Daddies I’d met at events at Bound and Controlled, and we’d never worked out past those first encounters.

“You’re welcome.” He was entirely too awake as he poked my side again. “Ian?”

I was being tortured for being a brat.

“Yes, Bishop?” For some reason, he found that funny.

When he finally stopped snickering, he sighed. “Can I kiss you?”

That had me going very still and I was glad I hadn’t opened my eyes yet. “A grown-up kiss?”

It was a silly question based on where we were, but it popped out anyway. Bishop didn’t laugh, though. He simply ran a finger around my forehead and down around my ear sending a shiver through me. “Yes, a very grown-up kiss.”

Nodding, I took a deep breath. “Yes, but in one second? I really have to pee.”

As he laughed, flopping back on the bed, I finally opened my eyes and made a dash to the bathroom. Clearly, refusing to go to the bathroom last night had been a terrible decision since it’d meant getting up at the crack of dawn. But it was also bad because I’d tortured poor Bishop, who hadn’t figured out what to do with a cranky little who was arguing about ridiculous things.
