Maybe the thinking thing was what had put some subs off?

I thought intelligence was sexy, and even in bad porn, a sexy pretend nerd in fake glasses was hot, so the real deal was even better.

After another moment, he came back into focus. “No, I enjoy it and I’ll always like seeing the models, but it’s not something I need to make me happy in a relationship.”

That was good to know.

But just the way he’d said it, I had to tease him.

“So are you hinting that I need to be okay with you leering at the sexy models?” I knew he could tell I was kidding as he laughed, looking sheepish as he shook his head.

“That’s not what I meant.” He stretched his foot out and ran it along my leg sending a shiver through me. “But you don’t sound like you think that’s a bad idea. So would this be a mutually gratifying visit?”

Now I was blushing, and that just encouraged the sexy man.

His gaze turned almost predatory as his foot kept up the slow caress. “I bet you’ve enjoyed going to the photo shoots. I happen to know the models loved when you came to visit.”

I had to look like some kind of overgrown tomato, but I couldn’t help laughing. “They were so funny and cute. I love watching them and seeing the work behind the magic that shows up online.”

And since he was a part owner of the business, I wasn’t going to feel bad about that.

I was just supporting his endeavors.

“Sure.” His teasing smirk did something wicked to me and I had to fight the urge to find a more comfortable position for my hard cock. “You were probably smiling and flirting and telling every model who wiggled for you how pretty their ass looked.”

It was like he’d been right there.

“Of course not.” I shook my head, knowing he didn’t believe a word I said. “I was an utter gentleman.”

Mostly.

But it wouldn’t have been polite for me not to compliment them when they were trying to look so pretty.

Cohen barked out a laugh. “I think one call to Eli would tell me a different story.”

Huffing, I crossed my arms over my chest and tried to look offended. “That’s cheating.”

His eyes dancing with laughter, Cohen shrugged. “No, it’s using my resources to find out how naughty you’ve been.”

Just a little.

I might’ve winked at one of the cuties who kept blushing because of how hard he got when everyone would watch him. I wasn’t the only one who’d enjoyed the view, though. Eli had been worse and had kept walking by him to whisper things that made him even harder.

“I’m very good.” I was just easily led into temptation. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“You seem very confident about that.” Cohen’s smarts were coming out as he cocked his head and studied me.

The fact that I might’ve giggled made him suspicious.

“You’ve got an ace up your sleeve.” As his gaze narrowed, I could almost see his mind churning over the problem. “Fess up.”

Ha. He couldn’t guess.

It should’ve been obvious, so I leaned into the table to whisper teasingly, barely hiding my glee. “Eli wants to see my pup and that will win against gossip any day.”

Wesley had been working for Leashes & Lace long enough that I knew most of them in a roundabout way at the very least. I might not have gotten to know everyone personally yet, but they were all chatty enough that I’d talked to most of them. Some of them, like Eli, were just so outgoing and talkative that I knew a lot about them.

And that meant I knew their weaknesses…or at least Eli’s.

He groaned, head falling back as he frowned. “That’s cheating.”

I gave up trying to hide my amusement and grinned, shrugging and opening my hands in a what can I say gesture. “No, that’s using my resources.”

Having his own cheeky words tossed back at him made Cohen laugh. Some Doms couldn’t seem to take a joke, so I was glad to see that he hadn’t taken it too seriously.

As he shook his head, his laughter faded and something dark and sexy filled his gaze. “You know, I don’t have experience with pups, but cheeky subs who need a reminder of how to behave are my specialty.”

Spankings?

He liked giving spankings?

Swallowing, I tried to decide if that was what he’d meant or not…and how I wanted to respond. I should’ve gone slower and made more logical decisions about the whole night, but there was something about Cohen that was sliding through all my defenses.

And my common sense.

“Sometimes subs get cheeky because it’s been a long time since a Dom set firm expectations.” Was I really encouraging him to spank me?

I’d clearly lost my marbles somewhere.

One of the guys would’ve told me if he was some kind of serial killer, right?
