Bishop’s lips turned up as he nodded, looking wonderfully naughty. “Yes, he’s hung like a horse, and if you’re a good boy today and don’t worry too much, on our next date I’ll tell you how my first date with him went.”

It went hard…and long…and wait, what counted as not worrying too much?

“Deal.” I’d work out the fine print later.

“Deal.” His arms tightened and he pulled me up his chest, taking my lips in a long, slow kiss that had me whimpering and rubbing on him.

But when he finally released my lips, he cupped my face and nodded. “No, sweet boy. We’re going to get tested before we do anything. I’m going to respect your limits. But since you’ve been so good this morning, I’m going to let you go jerk off in the shower.”

Let me?

That gave me a thousand new questions, but since I was worried he might actually answer them, I kept them locked up tight and nodded. “I’ll be right back. It won’t take long.”

I mostly meant my shower in general, but as he laughed, I shook my head and rolled off his sexy body. “At some point, I’m going to die of embarrassment because I said something stupid around you.”

As I climbed off the bed, he took my hand, keeping me with him. I peeked over at him to see a tender look on his face as he shook his head. “I hope not. I’m looking forward to getting to know all about you and I need you alive for that, cutie.”

Cute…they both thought I was cute.

Fuck.

Just the reminder made me even harder.

Now I really needed a shower. “Stop saying such sweet things.”

I kissed his cheek as he laughed before hopping off the bed. “I’ll be right back.”

It definitely wasn’t going to take long.

Chapter 16

Bishop

“I’m serious. He’d never played with a pup and he didn’t think it was weird. He’s very laid back.” Talking about Cohen was what was probably weird, but somehow it seemed to make Ian more relaxed when I talked about our friend.

I had a feeling it was a bit of voyeurism but it was more about wanting to be included in that part of my life…and Cohen’s life…Ian definitely had a thing for Cohen, so it was probably both.

“He always seemed very…intense?” Ian shrugged and leaned back in his seat. “That might not be the right word, but he comes across like he’s trying to blend in…”

I was helpful and finished Ian’s sentence as his words drifted off. “But he can’t because he’s sexy as fuck.”

He laughed nervously but nodded as his cheeks got faintly pink. “Yeah, but he was honestly so laid back and so unconcerned with the models, I thought—” He stopped and winced, shrugging and leaning forward as he continued, dropping his voice low. “This is going to sound bad, but—”

I jumped in before he could finish, unable to wait. “I thought he was straight too.”

Ian flopped back in the chair, relief radiating from him. “You did?”

Nodding, I finished my drink and shrugged. “He doesn’t even notice Eli. I mean, I thought he had to be straight.”

Giggling, Ian poked at the last of his fries. “Is he just not interested in the models? Is it the clothes?”

I wasn’t sure how much I could share about the business side of things, so I tried to talk around it. “He’s known Preston and Eli for a long time.”

Now it was my turn to lean in conspiratorially. “He dated Eli in college, I think he said, and now he doesn’t want to do anything that fucks up their business.”

“Oh.” Ian’s wide-eyed expression looked like I’d filled in a few of the blanks for him. “That makes a lot of sense.”

Had he wondered about Cohen and then just dismissed the Dom because of the misguided rules and mixed signals?

“But staying away from nearly every kinky guy in town meant his dating choices were slim.” That was one of the big reasons I thought avoiding everyone at Leashes & Lace was a bad idea. “Sure, there would be drama if something happened but there’s drama when nothing happens, so I wouldn’t have worried about it.”

He cocked his head, thinking. “I don’t know what I’d have done in that situation.”

Shrugging, he grinned. “I guess I’m just lucky there are mostly subs and definitely no Daddies.”

Lucky for me, at least, but I wasn’t so sure being alone so long had been good for Ian.

“Do you think that’s just because the environment doesn’t appeal to them or do you think the hiring process and Eli in general keeps them away?” My question had Ian giggling, but I was serious in an odd kind of way. “I knew what to expect going in, so I wasn’t surprised. It would be a shock to other people, though.”

Ian huffed. “You’d think people would know to do research before applying with L and L, but you’d be surprised at the number of people who have no idea what we do.”
